    Ekta ji I think Banana peel is rich source of Potassium (K) and not Phosphorus (P). Banana Peel can replace Seaweed Ascophyllum Nodosum as far as Potassium is concerned but seaweed contains other micro nutrients and trace minerals.
    Worm Compost and it's tea should be able to meet all the fertiliser requirement (slow release via microbes and fungi).
    Phosphorus rich fertiliser is Bonemeal under organic alternative.
    Thanks, Rajiv S

    • @GardenUp
      @GardenUp  Před 5 lety +6

      sir, the banana pulp we eat is rich in K but the banana peel is good in P content. The sea weed extract I get does not mention what plant it has been been extracted from but it seems well balanced in nutrient composition. I don't use any other plant supplement, not even for vegetables.

    • @rajiv9819
      @rajiv9819 Před 5 lety +3

      @@GardenUp Ma'm here is the link which details out composition of peel and not the fruit pulp/fiber. It is rich in K and very very low in P and so essentially banana peel is not a P fertiliser but a K fertiliser. Please correct me if I am missing anything with references if possible.

      Hi, I would agree with you but we are both partly right. I am glad you pointed out...

      NDL Organic Gardening can we use banana peel as a fertiliser?

    • @rajiv9819
      @rajiv9819 Před 5 lety +3

      @@abhisheksharma9460 It is not an all purpose fertilizer meaning it is rich in K component. For N you can use Neem Cake or Mustard cake. For P you can use bonemeal.
      All above 3 are organic alternatives of NPK.
      Worm Compost alone is very good all round option of an all purpose slow release fertiliser. It is the best option in my view. In foreign countries they consider it as a soil conditioner rather than soil fertiliser reason being no one can guarantee the exact ratio of NPK as there are various ways as well as various ingredients which can be used.
      Hope it answers you question.

    Hi Ekta,
    Thanks for all of your videos, they are helping me greatly to create and expand my garden.
    I have couple of questions regarding adding fertilizers
    1. Can I add both vermi compost and sea weed solution to my all plants every once in 2 months.
    2. If not,then can I use sea weed solution and vermi compost alternatively every month, like current month sea weed solution and next month vermi compost and so on.
    Kindly help.
    Thank-you.

    Hi, Ekta I always watch your videos and I always share them with my friends and your gardening tips are amazing I would like to share a small information with you it may be helpful for you that is if we keep dry leaves🍁🍁 below or under matters then after 6 months that leaves will become compost and it really works I kept dried 🍁🍁leaves which I got from my back yard I kept those leaves under mattress in my store room and that compost is full of nutrients which will help your plants to grow fast🌱🌱☘️☘️🌿🌿🌿🍀🍀
