Min Heejin involving NewJeans is a very obvious manipulation tactic. She wants the public to side with her, so she’s using NewJeans as a shield. She’s basically saying “guys don’t forget about NewJeans! Y’know NewJeans? The group you all love? They’re the victims too!” People are more likely to feel empathy for NewJeans than they are Min Heejin, by emphasising their connection to Adore and herself, Min Heejin is basically manipulating the public to side with her.

Also we have seen other nasty scandals with big companies in kpop before but then ppl always tried to separate the idols from the company image and those companies are still standing today, now when it comes to hybe and their artists why do ppl wanna act different and put the whole company to burn? Honestly, her "pity party" press conference made me instantly see her as someone manipulative. It's almost comical how she dressed herself as if she was just kidnapped from home to hold a press conference which she organized herself.
In America, when a parent company wants to audit one of their subsidiaries, no notice is needed. HYBE has all rights to audit any one of their companies. That's the bottom line.
Hybe only responsibility is to supply resources, financial backing and music distribution for each label
The individual labels work independently and are responsible for managing their own artists

I think public opinion is starting to change. I think she's pretty transparent. We will hear the court ruling this Friday if the judge is going to let Hybe hold their Shareholder meeting without her. According to the law, they should be allowed to. They also have the best law firm in Korea. If the court rules in Hybe's favor, she is GONE!! Then, will come the lawsuit against her. I think she's in big trouble and could potentially "if found guilty", be spending time in a jail cell. I'm pretty sure her stylist will turn against her to save her own butt! I am so impressed. Every point you made is right on point. I didn't believe her from the get-go, but you really laid out why everyone else should see that she's a liar. One thing I'd like to add is that MHJ used her shaman to name the company Ador, which is really weird. She couldn't come up with the name herself, but she's the best at everything (as she implies)? Maybe this is why this is happening to her now, because it's not going to end well with HYBE or the K-pop industry itself. Also, I think it's ridiculous that people believe that HYBE would make up stuff about MHJ to make the corporation look better. They now are a conglomerate, more powerful than any entertainment agency ever, and they have all the money in the world to fight any of her BS to the end. And lastly, my opinion is Bang PD took very good care of the BTS members over the long haul and still today. I don't think that it's this horrible corp that so many others do. literally the only similar between new jeans and illit’s music is they both do chill bops. and yeah new jeans might have popularised that sound but it’s really only the tempo that’s similar. the sound is completely different. magnetic sounds nothing like any of new jeans songs… i guess the closest would be maybe newjeans/asap/cool with you but even then the similarities are tenuous
I agree with all the things that you have pointed out. I just want to note about the promotional content of their 13M views mv. It was about how there's no yt shorts for nwjns new mv in hybe's yt, not congratulatory posts. But that was not hybe's job either way, it was ador's. In fact, there's no shorts in hybe's yt about nwjns since their debut. That's ador's job, but their fans mad to hybe and compared it to other hybe's artists.
That's funny because I can count shorts for bts solo era in one hand, but they always make bunch for txt every cb while both of them are under one label, bighit. Therefore it was their label's choice and job to make those shorts, not hybe as a company.

Controversial opinion: Let's not trust or believe either side for a change.
Both have everything to lose and everything to gain here, so we can easily say that distorting facts is not off the table for either party.
Just because there are 2 sides does not mean one of them has to be right.
This video isn't about taking Hybe's side, it's about recognizing lies. The ones being hurt are the idols and the ones being manipulated are the fans. I can fully believe MHJ is a liar without taking up advocacy for Hybe.
If MHJ wants to get things done then do it like a CEO of the company not seeking attention by dragging teens and other groups attached to the label. Hybe made the biggest mistake of making the wrong person as CEO. HYBE learn from your mistakes.

I've seen a lot of people debating and I'm just tired of seeing some people involved in the debate just picking a side and going with it because on the surface it seems to be the "lesser of two evils".
My point being, instead of people picking one lesser evil in this debate, why don't we just not pick at all and remove both evils? It's not like we all don't know that they're both equally toxic.
The truth is anybody involved with either of these two always end up hurting more than benefiting. Hence why I made this comment directed toward fans that are picking one side in this debate and asking them why we don't just rid ourselves of having to put up with either of them.
Hopefully this explains it better. I'm not opposed to the viewpoint that the video has, I actually completely agree with it.

I think my comment was either worded poorly or you misunderstood what I meant as a result of my poor wording and responded to my comment thinking I was some sort of crazed min heejin fanboy. Maybe a mix of both since these kinds of videos always attract those kinds of white knights, probably my wording, I don't know.
I have no horse in this race. I don't like either side and I don't stan any of their groups.
As I explained in my last reply, what I was implying is that they are both incredibly toxic and do more harm to anybody unfortunate enough to become involved with them than anything else. My comment was pointed toward the fans that are trying to find the side that they consider to be the "lesser of two evils" and going with supporting that side.
I was underlining that it is still *two* evils, and just because there are multiple sides in a debate does not mean that you absolutely have to pick one, or that just because multiple parties exist does not mean one party has to be the one that is 100% in the right.
I was questioning why these fans that have already picked a side in this debate don't just refrain from picking a side and just let the two evils take each other down as that is in the best interest of the idols and the fans involved at this point.
Her actions that have had net negative impact on idols unlucky to work with her has been largely discussed for many months now if not close to a year, I didn't disagree with that to begin with but at this point especially it's been proven.
I would still argue the same is at the very least somewhat true for Hybe though. They are also toxic to their idols, just in a slightly different way.
I was pointing out that both sides have hella incentives to manipulate and spin things to fit the narrative they want to paint, and that's why I don't really trust anything either of them claim until there is irrefutable receipts.
I apologise if my comment was worded poorly, I do agree with the video and the points, I'm just tired to see that some company stans cannot see what's painfully obvious for themselves and need these facts constantly reiterated to them.

TL:DR since this is long:
MHJ is a ridiculous person who is a shame to everyone who is an adult and loves to be creative, and deserves some jail time for her many egregious actions that she has done during her time in the music industry from SM boy groups to her actions with newjeans and hybe.
I'm just GENUINLY so concerned for the newjeans girls because if they keep backing mhj after putting out some petitions for her very recently, they're screwed. Which would be tragic.
But like, all of them need some therapy or smth after being so brutally manipulated by mhj. I wish her horrible actions in the industry were better well known before so that the girlys could've debuted with someone else directing them, who isn't a child predator and unsafe adult who clearly is comfortable getting into close relationships with minors when it is supposed to be a work setting.
This whole situation makes me sad. First that MHJ still receives support and has been able to work in the industry with little fault for this long, when she has left traces of gross treatment of children everywhere she works. Then that hybe took her on, and let her around their trainees. That newjean's parents, although I'm sure they are wonderful people who want their daughter's to be successful, signed then not only into the industry in general at such a young age (varies by member ofc) but also to mhj, who has such a weird relationship with them. I'm sure that developed more into a strange area also with manipulating these parents (thats speculation, but I'm sure mhj could and would do it) after the contracts were signed. Like I'm sure their parents, like most that sign these minor's contracts, just want them to live out their dreams and be successful, but it doesn't dissolve the fact that signing these contracts isn't safe or smart for their children, and is really quite a dangerous move that should be illegal in all music industries.
Hybe is obv not a perfect company. Duh, who is. Newjeans parents, although loving, aren't perfect, since they allowed their minors to sign into a contract placing them (a) in this industry and (b) in close contact with mhj, someone who I'm sure with not too much research or time, at least gives of bad vibes, but also has left trails of bad behavior with minors. IDK how accessible that information is in Korea with privacy laws, but it should be in Vietnam and Australia at least. Which is 3/5 member's parents.
ALSO, the way MHJ is dealing with this situation is also DISGUSTING. Ignoring the suspicion of literal CRIMES, she's instead (and unfortunately successfully, since she's a wonderful manipulator) directing the attention to creating fanwars, targeting MINORS, putting pressure on newjeans instead of PROTECTING THEM which someone who is a "mother figure" like she claims herself to be for them SHOULD be focusing on doing all in order to try and save face. It's absolutely abhorrent behavior, and I'm afraid that whatever punishment she gets will not be nearly enough for what she has done, which seems to be far too common in most courts of law.
Throughout this video I'm just saying YES YES in total agreement because really, even if you can appeal to the public based on the idea of a sad employee fighting against her boss, the other statements, attitudes, intentions, and actions are CLEARLY right there for the opinion of the VERY IMPORTANT and might I say, most likely determining factor as more information (will) comes out against her. The fact is, even if with the press conference she can play that look for the general public, which although is important, assuming this issue gains traction (i'm sure it will) evidence that she is not a "normal office worker" will easily become more clear to a general population and her narrative (which is false in that aspect) is quickly swept away.

It just hurts me how MHJs mentality seems to be almost one of "if I'm going down, I'm taking down everyone with me" as she manages to wrap up literally the entirety of hybe, a literal cult, specifically illit, aespa, by hand of le sserafim and the internet (which she enjoys to use as evidence) ive, exo, etc as for some reason justifying her bad behavior??? EW.
Newjeans basically took an older more gentle, youthful concept that hasn't been around since the earlier 2000s, popularized it a bit, and groups began to debut with a similar concept because it (a) works well for minors (b) sells well and (c) is FUN and therefore easily popularized. If anything, you should be happy that your actions led to the growth of a new genre of interest in k-pop, rather than getting offended that anyone who doesn't do girl crush or noise music and believe that they're copying you... MHJ is hitting the same old, dead argument that has been around for YEARS that no art is original, that art imitates art, all art is an inspiration etc. Basically, she's saying that everyone is copying each other, because she refuses to acknowledge how inspiration from something allows for an artistic creation within the same bounds to be created, but not a copy (does that makes sense? Like you and another person can both paint some clouds, but they're not copying each other, they just have the same inspiration).
I think this case is a wonderful international example of how horrible people act when they're in power. People can basically worship them, think they're so amazing, but in basically any country, they can actually be horrible to work with, be unsafe with children, etc etc and have no consequences applied to them simply because of 1 or 2 redeemable (which lets be real, isn't worth redeeming) aspects.
