Ekatvam Holi Music Fest 2023: Venuswaram- Varnam Hamsadhwani, Jalajakshi

The festival continued with the fourth theme, "Venuswaram," on the same day, featuring Dr. B. Vijayagopal on the flute and Mylai M. Karthikeyan on Nadaswaram, accompanied by Kulur Jayachandra Rao on the mridangam and Vazhapally R Krishnakumar on the Ghatam. They commenced with a beautiful Krithi (Sri Vaathapi) in raga Sahana and continued to captivate the audience with their mellifluous execution of the ragas and classic krithis. The performance of Pakkala Nilabadi in Karaharapriya was particularly enchanting, evoking a glimpse of Rama, his consort, Lakshmana, and Anjaneya. They also showcased Kapi Narayani, Mayamalavagoula, and (dwi raga Kalyani/ Sivaranjani ) RTP, specially composed for the occasion, as well as Vyasatheertha's Krithi in Yaman Kalyani, "Krishna nee begane baro." The concert concluded with a Thirupugazh in Sindhu bhairavi “Amudam ooriya” preceeded by Sri, Lalgudi Jayaraman’s Desh Thilla.
