Lying on the floor, petrol full on gushing and chatting to the crowd through it. Legendary.
It’s tuned, I’ve done my part.
Poor ute! But I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. Laying on the floor with petrol gushing out making commentary - epic stuff.

It was E85 I guess. So yeah dangerous, but with petrol I would be definitely more worried.
Did you see the sparks fly when that let go!? Damn lucky it didn't end in a fireball.

when mine broke (3" thick wall) in an XF falcon ute (1UZ and A340) it broke the bell housing, flattened the exhaust so much it would barely idle, wiped out the brake line to rears, Jammed the handbrake on at "fast speed"(not on a dyno) and tore a hole in the floor you could fit your hand through(to the petrol tank, but it survived) still had the uni joint bolted to the diff yoke, broke in the middle like this from "whip" apparently.
Yep 'wow' was totally acceptable as the meme on this occasion. You coulda lost the dyno room this day.. Hoff, in another universe you are nursing burns right now, I reckon... Glad everyone's good. This should get some clicks!😉👌
Nearly gets serious leg injuries to both of them, nearly lights car on fire, near room on fire... Both lay down in the fuel puddle to get a closer view and start crackin jokes!!! Seriously good show!!

I think the most afraid ive ever been in a car was a high speed run in a mates freshly converted from 6 to v8 tonner. He thought i was shitting myself from the speed but no, high frequency vibration spells impending tailshaft departure.

I laughed way too hard at the thought of the coil spacer flying off and directly in to the compressor, but then the shaft let loose and that was way better, hahaha

Wow. That was lucky there was a flash under the car from the Tailshaft hitting. Obviously no fuel ⛽️ at that point but a continuous flow outa that tank. Lucky lads. Great episode especially the end. Lol

That's is a pretty epic fail. That could pretty fast have gone quite a lot more horrible than it did. This Ute is the gift that keeps breaking.

The Hoffs face when it went bang was gold! LOL. I actually laughed out loud when it happened. I actually winced a bit though when he dragged the tailshaft out from under the car with that fuel there, It only takes a spark.

I kept my AU ute for a reason, the 4 speed auto has shit reverse so I need a manual conversion for it. Got the turbo and intercooler, I just need the exhaust manifold.

5bucks says its one of the 9" conversations that runs two short axles and puts the diveshaft on an angle.
Next nugget garage we weld a bit of 2.5mm exhaust tube in for a drive shaft Ratchet strap the trany intoplace and weld the bellhousing and send it for 600hp lol

Tine to order a new fuel tank from Rare spares or someone if the original tank can't be welded up.
I think that maybe a thicker walled custom tailshaft is the go,I have a custom tailshaft fitted into my VY SS Commodore meaning it has a replaceable universal joint fitted, it's actually for the rear diff yoke of a Toyota Hilux Surf which is heavier duty than the original non replaceable staked in universal joint !
