  • With just a few products from Elizabeth Craft Designs, I share how to make quick and easy pages to document your December. I suggest some basic starter dies and papers to get you going, plus show the differences between the dies to help you make the most of your sets.
    *CORRECTION: Sidekick Essentials 4 is the die set with the basic plain page die, not set #7 as I show in the video.*

    Hello Annette...as I am a beginner at planners, and a new subbie, trust me when I say that I found this tutorial extremely helpful. I was getting so confused regarding the different planner/notebook sizes and you sorted that all out for me. That Reminiscence paper pad you shared is incredible and when you chatted about the thicknesses of the paper, I too think that it's a brilliant idea, n ot to mention the fact that the 'collage' is already built-in for you. I commented earlier that I am completely new to vintage style so this type of paper pad works particularly well for me. So finally, I think I've gotten all the planner sizes straight, ie 'Planner Essentials' dies cut the largest planner, 'Sidekick' dies cut a medium-sized planner, and then you have the 'TN' sized that are like a mini journal. Whew...I didn't think I'd ever get there LOL! I'm off to catch up on some more of your tutorials because there is sooooo much to learn, but soooo much fun as well. Much appreciated, dear!

      Oops! I am always putting dies back on the wrong sheet! Sorry about that. You are absolutely right. Those heart reinforcers go with the Planner Labels set, so I have put them back in the right place now. Thanks for watching and setting me straight.

      @@AnnetteGreen , you are so kind answering soon. I wanted to write more yesterday but I was so excited that had no words. I bought two dies last month and have had many others in the basket all the time. I had no idea how to make an interesting journal, because I always use just a very simple one. I made one last year but didn't use it because it was too thick and boring. I used paper pads for planners so it was boring because I had no chance to select paper myself. Yours is really so nice and an idea to attach one photo a month is a wonderful idea. I bought the same planner as you showed A5 but I worried the pages with tabs woud be too wide for the planner. Yesterday I ordered all three dies - pages with tabs. Thank you very much.
      By the way, I intended to write my comment to your 2021 planner where you used Woodland Friends collection and made a mistake. But all your items are just amazing.

    Thank you this was so helpful. I am having so much fun with. my ECD products. I would love to know what size the envelopes you are storing the dies in. I am struggling to keep the sets together. I do have magnetic sheet. I really want the snowman and elves but have now been able to find them on line. Any suggestions? Thanks

    • @AnnetteGreen
      @AnnetteGreen  Před 3 lety

      Thanks so much Linda. I store all my dies in frosted Sizzix envelopes. They have several sizes to pick from. I add a magnet sheet inside of each, like you. I like keeping all my planner dies in the larger ones and the smaller dies like the Elf, Jack Frost, etc, in the smaller size. The larger envelopes are on Amazon and in most online stores like Scrapbook.com, but the small ones have been out of stock (probably due to Covid). As for the Elf and Jack Frost dies, they are coming! I didn't realize until after I made the video that they are not yet listed on the ECD online shop. They tell me that scrapbook stores have them in stock and soon they will be posted in the ECD shop online. If you have a local scrapbook store, please reach out to them. If not, some stores in other states are willing to ship and take a credit card over the phone.

  • @juliechambers849
    @juliechambers849 Před 3 lety

    Great video, did you use the thinner paper for your book or the more cardstock ones ? also when you glue to pages together, again which thickness of paper? x

    • @AnnetteGreen
      @AnnetteGreen  Před 3 lety +1

      This is a great question. In most cases for the actual base pages, I used the thicker paper from the collection. But when adhering two pages together, I would opt to use the thinner paper. Sometimes I don’t know ahead of time if I’ll be putting another paper onto the back of an existing page, so if that’s the case I always start a new page with the thicker paper. Hope that answers your question sufficiently.

      I am expecting my 2 Reminiscence 64 page paper pads to arrive anyway soon.
      I absolutely love what you used for your December Daily.
      But to be really honest you enabled me to order my first Elizabeth Craft Designs dies.
      In fact I actually ordered 25.
      Some have arrived and I also ordered some from there website in Holland.
      So looking forward to using them.
      Because of worsening arthritis I cannot anymore make the mini albums anymore. So I thought die cut pages, decorate and wow you are done, and use I use already an electric die cutting machine. X

    how did you cut the accent paper strip? Did you use the die?

    • @AnnetteGreen
      @AnnetteGreen  Před 3 lety

      Actually, no. I simply cut a 1/2" wide strip and re-punched the holes after adhering it down. Seemed faster to just do it that way.
