Matthew 18:21-35
21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
30 And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
31 So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:
33 Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

So hard to forgive others that have repeatedly hurt you. Thank you for trying to teach me forgiveness ❤️🙏🏼
I think this was the case to me too, mainly as long as others made me uncertain about their wrong deeds, bc then I was insecure about if I deserved to be hurt or not. But I am at a point of heeling when I start not just understanding, but trusting that no one deserves to be hurt, not even them, who hurt me. I know from experience, that when I believed their disclaimer of responsibility I was so lost, no control at all, not even the inner peace of the truth, that my fear and anger found way also in doing unrighteous things to others.
I accepted, that my sins weren't right, and I regret. So now I'm ready forgiving, even those who hurt me, bc I don't question if they do it when they do, no denial can make me uncertain about the truth, but I see their insecurity and need for hurting others to "protect themselves", doing unclean things to "release the pain". This is my journey of forgiving, but as long as I was not allowed to be angry, calling a sin against me a sin, my effort to forgive never succeed. Sin is sin, regardless if I do it to others, or others do it to me. And you know because you feel that it hurts. Today I tell them when they do that it is wrong but I'm ready to forgive, bc I know how hard it is when you suffer and are insecure and lost. And I don't allow myself either to sin or to not apologize if I cannot stop myself.
Trusting again is another story, but I'm on my way ❤🩹

Well if we don't forgive, even those that commit murder, we ourselves will not be forgiven by God and will perish. The Bible explains that we were once all enemies of God and all worthy of death, but though we hated Him yet He loved us and died for us and forgave us. When we face punishment we love to cry out for mercy, but when other's sin against us we are sometimes so quick to harden our hearts and cry out crucify him/her. In God's eyes this is hypocrisy! If you give you shall receive. If you condemn you will be condemned because your crimes against God will always weigh heavier in the balance than any person's crimes against you.
We forgive not because we are foolishly allowing ppl to walk all over is, but because we are followers of Jesus Christ and because He willingly has forgiven us for all our crimes, wickedness, and evil so we willingly forgive those who offend us. Without works our faith is dead. We cannot say we love God who we cannot see, but hate our fellow man that we can see. If God still loves our enemies so must we.

The gospel by which we're saved. We're under Paul's ministry today. Therefore we're not under the law of the old testament. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
And that takes us back to John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. So it's only by GRACE that we are saved not by works. Jesus did all the work and gave us GRACE (unmerited favor) as long as we have FAITH (believe) in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for SALVATION (trust in his blood). That's the gospel. Jesus said, Ye must be born again to enter into the kingdom.(accept Jesus as your SAVIOR)

He is the one and only I trust in for Salvation. He sets the qualifications to meet to access them. I can't even do that - it's only possible on His strength. All I am, I owe to Him. I can only receive His grace, by virtue of His grace. In Him alone do I trust. With all my heart, might, mind and strength.
