Thank you for showing off your technique with oil wash. I have been experimenting for some time but not how you do it. I also just enrolled to Beastarium patreon and look forward to create some grimdark miniatures. Cheers from Winnipeg.

Great tutorial and great model. The cloth detailing takes it to the next level :-D I’m painting this guy up right now too.

I'm not sure if this is covered in any of your videos as I'm still going through the catalog. But how do you choose what color to use for the oil washes?

it isnt covered, there is no particular guito to do so. For the mud look a combination of brown green and blakc is often use. Other than that any dark brown, black, blue or even magenta works depending on the color underneath.
If you have any further questions feel free to ask me and ill answer shortly

Fantastic work!! Very good video, I'll try what you've explained on my new Archers. With the pigment you use, do you need some kind of fixative (I don't know if that's the right word) to keep the pigment in place? Thank you very much and keep it up.

i do a first pass and fix it with alcohol, then a second one over and jsut blow a way the exess. fixatives tento to kill the disty look a bit

    What model is this?

Would this also work on miniatures with faces? 🤔

Yes and no. You could use on the face but you will have to clean it up better, or it will look dirty. Plus you will want to use a different color, brown, blue, purple or magenta will give better looking results.
