- The ECO Game starting location and how to get started can be bewildering. In this first episode of a play-though, we get ourselves setup for housing, trade, skill points, and all the things to come. But first we need a starting location and some food!

Finally, someone giving tutorials on the basics of the game. I just bought it and have no idea what I’m doing lol. Thought I’d play single player till I figured it out but that’s not working so well. Nobody has really come out with good tutorials yet so I’m lost. I subscribed and am looking forward to the next one. Thanks for the video.
I'll definitely be putting out more. There will also be some Star Citizen vids interspersed, and you might get a some of those as well, but I plan to continue this ECO gameplay and tutorial series for sure!

I didn't comment on your other videos but I want to thank you for them all! You have three information I came specifically on CZcams to find. How to find my place in this game. I'm a rimworld player (2200 hrs), planet zoo, others so I've been trying to figure out if í would like this type of game

The better version of minecraft I've been waiting for.
I've seen that minecraft got some things added to expand the gameplay, but yeah...the comparison to ECO fades after the crafting and building aspect, and can get into some real coop depth.

Aww... You get a starting tent now..! WooT! Your video makes me want to dip my toes back into ECO again. It is a very unique cooperative game and from what I've seen has evolved quite nicely! I really love how your impact on the environment as you tech up is important. Do they still have the meteor on the way to destroy the planet and you have to tech up to an advanced enough level to be able to prevent that from happening, without destroying the planet in the process, scenario? I hope so, as that made for a very enticing game, in my eyes.

The game still has the meteor, but after playing several servers I found that I enjoy it a lot more without the meteor. It's purely a preference, but I like more of the building, economics, eco-aesthetic, community government and all that. I found it a little depressing to spend hours and hours into a grind, only to have it all wiped out after 30 days (or whenever)...it always felt as if I was just starting to get really creative, and the best tiered items were just starting to become available...so I long the slow progress, long term servers they don't have the meteor. If you check out my playlist, I've got some information about competition servers and different styles so you can choose one that best suites how you like to approach things! =) Thanks for the comment and visiting the channel!

btw, if u want to join a server later, i can give u the link to a whitelist server(we started with 60 players on the wipe) and 15-20 players active daily after1-2 weeks. Its going to wipe soon, so if u want to join u can start fresh(we have a planned market/city center, multiple towns, companies and government.
...and i thnik it s better to advertise the game as a massive multiplayer, bc the real fun is when u play with pther people, make trades, contracts
This is a good video, but you've chosen a profession which dictated your building location. The issue is how does one know which profession to choose? That would likely be dictated by the economy, and where there are shortfalls, but how does one identify those shortfalls?

I've been playing eco a couple days and I went to my map to find a certain biome and they areas arnt where they should be such as the ocean is I'm the middle of the land in the forests, is there a way to fix this???
Not that I really know of - could just be a bad world gen. Haven't experienced that myself so I don't have nay insight there. Hope you get it sorted out! :)
