In my experience, this is partially true. There are some folks gifted in checking up on others and some who care but aren't in the business of checking what's happening per se but keep you in their prayers all the time.
Let's be honest, you are going through it in much the same way as other folks are in these trying times.

I respect your opinion but I don’t believe it’s a gift. Checking in on someone is a Decision you make consciously make. When you love and care for someone, you check on them, period. But it’s understandable that not everyone cares for you in the same capacity. That’s just part of life.

@SheSaidHeSaid I understand what you're saying but perhaps I didn't make my point clear enough when I used the word "gifted". Just saying, people checking on you when you're down & struggling isn't the only measure you need to categorise them as "the ones that truly care". Some folks like to be all in your business & will check on you come rain or sunshine while some perhaps private/socially awkward folks (keep to themselves) care more about you & will not only check up if they knew you're going through it, they will actively help you up & out of it with every means necessary.
