Started watching and went into a relaxed coma. Realised that there are two videos before that that I had not seen. This makes me happy.
    Wonderful reading and ramble!

I have some Yogi tea too but I think I'm saving it till I'm sick. Meanwhile I have herbal tea (no tea leaves) and may as well join in with you!

35 minutes went by so fast. What a suspenseful asmr video haha. Thank you! I remember the crocodile/alligator thing tied to the tree from my childhood, so that's the only way I think I've read or at least looked at this book a long time ago. Otherwise, I don't recall any of this. Such a great idea.

Another great video. If the solution to the maze were more esoteric, I might argue that it was the afterlife (think of the eyes and words in Room 24), and the guide the devil (the pitchfork in Room 22, plus many of the guide's comments). I don't know, maybe it is anyway. I definitely believe that the only way to meet the author's challenge of the shortest way in and out is decipher the clues of the un-numbered doorways, but the only way to do this is to play through by the numbered doorways first. Also, are there any unmarked pages in the book? Missing or hidden pages?
    Here are some other thoughts:
    - I think we're supposed to take door 41 from the beginning. It's the first door we see, and the comment about the sun falling on the door seems to be a clue. Also, what's with the calligraphy? Is it an actual alphabet, or something made up? And is it the same as the symbols on the wall in Room 38?
    - I think you were right to take door 13 in Room 18. The symbol above it is either a quarter or eighth note. From right to left the musical symbols are bass clef, note, treble clef, and a chord, which might be E-B-C-E. The curtain is parted, but it seems to make sense to choose a symbol denoted by a time signature, since everything in Room 13 deals with time.
    - Room 13 is still a mystery to me, but Room 27 is interesting. It seems like there's some Latin inscribed on the foot of the statue, which reminds me of one commenter mentioning the classical roots of the entwined snakes on the sign in the garden. I also think that the statue behind the man painting in the previous video is a classical reference, and a clue, but I'm not sure which one. The doorways in room 23 are also interesting. One is a spade and the other a heart. The spade is adapted from the sword in the tarot deck, and associated with death and change; the heart with life. The dialogue here mentions another group passing through, which may explain the hat in Room 18 and seems like an important clue (especially since the only other people we've encountered so far are in Room 24). Also, the guide mentions that he was trying to cover up the hole beneath the statue, which is important, too.
    - In Room 9 I have a hunch we won't be screwed taking door 3. The other options have their merits, but what's important here is that the ladder in the flood is the top of the ladder we saw in Room 40, and the first real confirmation that we can move through the maze without choosing the numbered doors alone.
Anyway, I know this is a lot, but I find myself wanting to make suggestions during the video, so this is what I think while watching. Also, I still want to get this book and make a journal for all the notes. Good ol, nerdy fun.
Thanks again for doing this. I meant it when I said you're one of the best out there. Keep up the good work.

Michael Flanagan wow these are all great observations and suggestions. I appreciate the insights. I will have to explore each of those possibilities in future Maze videos. Thanks!

After so many loops and dead ends we finally go back to the start. Let us see how we go on from there.
