Hashi's could have destroyed my marriage. My hashi's started soon after I gave birth. It was so hard, and my husband didn't know what was wrong or what to do to help me. Heck I didn't even know what to do to help me. Our faith did help us. A healthy/diet change, primarily carnivore, definitely helped. And watching videos like this.

Neisha, This is My EXACT story. Except that It took me 15 years of suffering and I went into debt getting answers. My health decline was also a series of stressful events that just compounded. My current functional doctor figured it out , but by the time he did, my entire Hormonal system was affected. I’m insulin resistant, I have severe estrogen dominance, PCOS and hashimotos and just to top it all off, cortisol issues. I have been dead for so long all the while trying to keep my business going. I have prayed to die in my sleep so many times. I have been strict keto for years eating under 20 grams and still feeling horrible and not being able to keep my glucose / insulin down.
My functional doctor recently suggested intermittent fasting and carnivore.
I was so so so angry at him, thinking this was an UTTERLY RIDICULOUS way to expect me to live my life, even though I was super strict with my eating. I was angry and yelled at him and told myself I would do his “stupid” diet and prove to him my glucose would still be high and nothing would change health wise.
Well ... jokes on me. I feel amazing for the first time in FIFTEEN years. I stated sept 25 of 2020 and within three weeks I was SHOCKED!! I had not weighed myself in a few years, but did the day I started carnivore and had lost 44 lbs somewhere, then suddenly I’m down a total of 50 lbs, with another 25 or so to go. I still have macadamia, and avocado and mayo. (I know I need to make bacon mayo seen your recipe this morning) But otherwise just meat , no dairy, gave up coffee.
I sleep better (mostly) I have been working out lightly but daily (still scared to stress those adrenals ) but I do NOT feel dead anymore . I have energy, a lot of it. I still have a way to go, my glucose is still wonky , my hormones are still wonky but I alive and feel so good. (Of course we are still stuck inside because of the pandemic) but carnivore has changed my life. I’m going for blood work Friday and can’t wait to see what’s happened to my numbers.
Seeing this video just brought tears to my eyes because THIS is everything I have felt but it’s so hard to out into words , the average ppl seen me work and smile but the second I walked through the door, I just dreamed of being in bed and shutting off my brain.

I have Hashis and a former patient of Dr. Berry. I had been doing well with my Naturethroid and keto, but developed issues with my blood pressure. I have been struggling to find a new doc. The first reaction the doc had was to cut my thyroid meds. Fired that doc because they refused to listen that I felt bad still! New doc raised meds, but now blood pressure is back up and I have lots of edema. Quarantine derailed my keto. Today is my first day back full keto! Thanks for sharing your journey. So many things only those who have been through understand. I kept yelling yes girl! Please say hi to Dr. Berry. He is missed! Thanks again!

I relate so much to this! I was diagnosed by an amazing primary physical very quickly after I had symptoms after my first baby. I am so grateful he didn’t just assume I had postpartum anxiety/depression. I went back to “normal” fairly easily that time, but 12 months after my second baby I felt just like you. I wasn’t myself. I had scary thoughts. My marriage was impacted and I thought we’d never make it. I finally went into remission and felt like myself again. It was like a light! I am feeling a flare right now and while I’m scared, I feel much more empowered that I did in 2021!

I was 70 in December and went keto end of January last year. When I lost the hunger after 3 days I was hooked. I did strict keto after that, came home and gave away all the carbs. I was 69 then and could not afford to muck around. Had been pretty heavy at one stage but was still persistently obese and could not seem to lose it. Was eating oats and brown rice and all the beans and lentils etc. I lost 25 - 55lbs in five months and felt better than I had ever felt. No brain fog and all the inflamation just left. I have been stable since then but need to lose some more and things are not quite right, so have been checking out the carnavore way of eating. I may just try it to break the stall and see how things go.

I can relate so much to your story. I was diagnosed with hashimotos last year, I had really really hard relationship issues with my husband for years. Horrible anxiety and was just so lethargic and had bad brain fog. I had gained so much weight like 75 pounds. Once I started treatment I thought that it’s be a magic bullet and cure everything. But it didn’t. It wasn’t until I started OMAD and lifting weights that it made a huge difference for me. Still have my ups and downs and don’t always stick to IF as I should but I’m hoping that if I make the switch to keto I will get to that place I was before I got sick. I’ve lost 50 lbs by the way in less than a year!

I had many of these symptoms and couldn’t understand it. Life sucked for many years. I lived in constant fatigue for 5 years before actually having labs in 2015 and avoided the doctor unless I had a physical ailment. Never having labs, ever. In 2015 I found out my thyroid was out of whack. Things didn’t get better and in August 2020 I had my thyroid removed due to the multiple large nodules. Now I am leveling out and have more energy than I did in my 20’s. 💪🏼 I am also a Ketovore. Stay on top of your health and I wish the best for you! ❤️

Bed to couch. Tired. Hair loss. Cranky. Weight gain. Depression. Lack of motivation. Brain fog. Skin issues. Sharp enough tongue that I get on my own nerves, but I can't lighten up. It's been going on long enough that I figure this is who I am now. Had thyroid labs done in my 20's that came back within normal range, and recently in my 50's, within normal range but kinda close to the edge of normal. My father was diagnosed with hypothyroid some 25 yrs ago. Tried keto last summer for about 6 weeks and felt better, but then fell hard off the wagon. Can't seem to get back with it, not unlike the bed to couch feeling, it seems insurmountable. Tired of riding the struggle bus, when the answers are before me. Watching your video helped. As a nurse, my trigger for Hashimoto's was a hepatitis B shot I had to have for a hospital job. Lots of mercury was still used in that shot back then (1992). I got very sick within 15 minutes of the first shot (was told that was normal, ugh), and sick after the second one, and then after the third one I began to have IBS and anxiety symptoms, followed by lymphadenopathy for two years straight. Have since read some research data on the Hep B shot, and it is now linked to causing autoimmune disorders. Went to a lot of doctors and none of them knew what was causing my symptoms. Went through 13 more years of unexplained weight gain, hypoglycemia, fatigue, brain fog, and anxiety until I hit what must have been end-stage Hashi's, and that's when I was diagnosed, FINALLY. I had crashed. Couldn't get out of bed, brain fog off the chart, horrible anxiety, depression, crying all the time, frustrated because I didn't know what was happening, until my mom was diagnosed with Hashi's and my symptoms were similar to hers, so I had my doctor check me for it. My mom and her sister have Hashi's, which tends to indicate there is a familial sensitivity to developing it when experiencing triggers for it. So many women in the US are undiagnosed, just told they are "hypothyroid", when they have Hashi's. Many doctors don't do the proper tests to find the autoimmune issue. It's been 17 years since my diagnosis and I'm fighting high antibodies and weight gain again right now. Five years ago I began having psoriasis. Been working on getting gluten totally out of my life - almost there. Glad I've come across yours and Dr. Ken's videos. My husband and I are now both pre-diabetic, having grown up on the standard (toxic) American diet. We have gone organic in the last decade and have removed most processed foods from our diet for at least that long, but whole grains have been our weakness. So, we are moving that stuff out of our home and starting to go Keto. I have been doing IF for the past two years, and it's the only thing that makes me able to lose weight. My cortisol levels tend to run high, and for the first time in 16 years they are down. But my antibodies are up. So, working on fixing that, too. Many doctors don't understand IF or Keto. I wish more of them would read and do research. Will keep watching and learning from your great videos! Thanks!

I'm currently on a 20 carbs a day diet, but it's a vegan candida cleanse. My son mentioned the Carnivor diet and that it helped people so I've been poking around. I have Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Fatigue, but not sure about Hashimoto's. They called me Wonder Woman when I was 23 because I was fast in the kitchen, and could lift quite a bit of weight. I also was the first to come in on the mile run. Betsy Hulse go back to your doctor! Or ask to get referred to endocrinologist, my tsh level were normal too I went back a month later to a endocrinologist she then tested my tsh again which came out super high also ask them to check your (free t4) thyroid function & thyroid peroxidase antibody. That’s how I found out I had Hashimotos. The first time my first doctor also told me I was “normal” which I wasn’t.

I have just subscribed to your channel after listening to your Hashimotos journey. It has touched me very very deeply listening to you and your journey, so much so my eyes are welling up as I type. I have and am suffering a lot of what you have gone through. Back and forth to the doctor, told I have underactive thyroid and put on levothyroxine. Nothing has changed in quite a few years. After smashing my calcaneus in 8 places last June I seem to be going down hill. Neisha listening to you talk about Keto/carnivore diet and what it's done for you has truly inspired me to follow this way of eating and try and help myself before my 62 birthday next month; even if it's only a slight change by then. THANK YOU, I look forward to listening to you again. Xx

I do understand your frustration with the mental fog. I pulled off the medicine to prove a point. If you shape up your diet then it can be reversed. (My TSH was normal on medicine but my TPO was still high while on medicine/ So changed my diet) Loved this video! You did awesome explaining what it’s like.

I went from super fit and active snd engaged and motivated in many areas to basically transported to hell, useless with a pulse.Id also had a toxic mesh implant inserted for an inguinal hernia incurred during birthing my third child,I later found out it was one of the untested toxic mesh implants, its still in situ as in U.K the gov.and NHS deny any and all issues regarding the implants with exception of a small group of pelvic implants which is nonsense.I went Paleo to Keto now carnivore and feeling a bit better but Ive got NO chance of recovery with refusal or access to even a competent surgeon in the U.K who would be skilled in the mesh removal and all the adhesions probably responsible for my affected left side gait now and mobility issues.Im SO glad you and Ken found each other,Baby Berry is a testiment to your amazing relationship and I love watching you both xxx

Every time I would do a keto or carnivore change in my diet I would get symptoms but since donating plasma they have become extreme symptoms. I tried treating with iodine but the symptoms have gotten worse. But I can feel a little soreness in my throat so I think it's inflamed thyroid. I do believe I have either hashimoto's or some type of hypothyroid disorder. This has made me realize I have had these underlying symptoms for a very long time but never really realized it is thyroid related. I made an appointment with my doctor but she can't see me for 4 weeks so I bought some desiccated thyroid and I will start that tonight. Thank you for your experience. I feel just awful right now, but I'm actually feeling some relief that I think I have figured out what has been robbing me of my quality of life So I look forward to treating it so I can get my vitality back. The brain fog is insane right now the past couple of weeks I haven't been able to do anything especially intellectual like retaining knowledge for my studies. I'm just going to let myself rest until I get this figured out. Crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. Any tips to tell my doctor would be very much appreciated! Thank you so much for your video!

Wow! What an amazing story. I can't even imagine what it's like to feel like you did at that time, but I relate to not feeling like your old self. In December of last year I was at my worst, eating garbage and suffering debilitating neuropathy and inflammation to the point I couldn't move out of bed. The last week of December I decided I had enough and went full keto. I was carnivore for a time but I think I went too soon. I was taking a ton of medication and my neuropathy was getting worse. I fasted at the same time too, so I suffered some set backs, but I never gave up.
I'm still working hard to recover from what I've done to my body for decades. It will be a long journey, but one I'm so glad to share with folks like you, brave folks willing to share their experience and offer encouragement. Thank you, Neisha. God bless you!

I thought I had Hashimoto's (so many of the same symptoms) but tested out negative, just had a "stressed thyroid." The levels would be normal for one three month period and then off the next. Losing weight via Ketovore helped stabilize my hormones as well as using some iodine. My Hashimoto antibodies were always normal.

Hi Neisha! Someone just recommended your channel to me. I've been carnivore for 15 months. Keto for 5yrs prior. I quit nicotine in August and I have gained 30lbs and am presenting all the hashimoto symptoms. I'm so ridiculously tired all the time. My TSH and T3 are both low, but my T4 is normal and my doctor keeps telling me everything looks fine. I had half my thyroid removed in 2016 due to suspicious nodules. I'm only 28 and I don't think I should be feeling like this. It's currently 5pm and I'm so ready for bed already. My nails are breaking. My hair is thinning. I can see teeth marks on the sides of my tongue. Zero sex drive. I just have no idea what to do. I'm going to watch all your thyroid videos to try to figure it out. I just wish my doctor would listen to me. :( This is very frustrating.

I have listened several times to your heartbreaking account of your illness. Neisha, I hope you never go through this again. I don’t want to appear presumptuous. I would feel remiss if I didn’t tell you that I was very sick with symptoms similar to yours. I felt as though I was behind a curtain, observing what was going on but not part of it. I lost so much weight that my doctor told me to drink Ensure! I also was young, well educated and, according to some, accomplished. OMG! An out of body experience! Oh, yes! My mind didn’t feel like it was my own. Who can understand what this feels like, if they never experienced it?
I ended up in the hospital because I was crying all the time and couldn’t get my work done. I risked losing all my research and writing. Diagnosis : major depression and anxiety disorder. Yes, I took medicine. My body was all messed up. Yes, it helped. Can food really help anyone pull out of this ? I hope so. Love and prayers to you. You deserve to feel good and never feel sick like that again.

I want to go carnivore. I did try keto before and took electrolytes. I do intermittent fasting. I do struggle with a carb addiction and it was a lot better on ketos.

You look so much calmer than I've thought of you. I'm glad I watched you on Kelly's channel. New sub here. 🙂
