Many theories...
1- Its Liszt himself played the rest.
2- The piano was possessed by a mysterious spirit
3- Piano was a paid actor
4- Lang Lang is mega mind
5- some believe this is what happens when you practice 40 hours a day
♫♪Ludwig van Beethoven♪♫ not funny, didnt laugh
I did laugh at this tho

I just imagine that, if we had these technology in the time of Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, etc. we can hear them play their pieces as they want it to be played. Such an interesting thought.
they do exist of Debussy I believe
@@c0nfidnce I think there are actual recordings of Rachmaninoff too,
There is also a recording of Alexander Scriabin playing his Etude Op. 8 Nr. 12 on a piano roll :)
There are plenty of beautiful recordings of Rachmaninoff. Too bad the same isn't true about the others. I heard a rumor that somebody once offered to record Liszt playing near the end of his life, but he refused.
The fact we have thus technology is the reason we dint have musicians like this any more.
Too many distractions

Perfect performance, but let’s appreciate how gorgeous that piano is 😍
Not hating, but was I the only one who noticed the mistakes he made?
@@8on633 at what time?
that was the intention of this video... but sadly, everyone is more aware of Lang Lang than noticing the piano
@@shyi1242 the most obvious one was at 1:22
Sublime!!!!!
Finally a piano that doesn’t tremble before Lang Lang. What a master piece.
yep
Lang Lang is a musician not to be missed or overlooked - but he is also a showman - just like Liszt himself! Nothing wrong with that!
I've never seen anyone play the piano so well without touching the keyboard 🎹😃
He has trained so much that he can now play with the Force. Not even Yoda could pull it off.
Lang lang's basic technic is very good,Because his father was strict to him when he's young,He often hit Lang lang when he didn't practice the piano well. That's also why he became a famous pianist Today.I love Lang lang very much,he's a good pianist and Showman.
I’m adding this to my playliszt
i think i'll vote this one as the best ever comment on youtube
omggggg i didnt even notice it at fiirsttttttttttt. apparentley other people didnt either becuase this deservers more likes
Thanks
Yo liszt u look like Jeremiah the prophet

everybody gangsta until the piano starts playing itself
Yes
I can hear the audience laughing in the background when it started playing by itself lmao
The piano has better dynamics than most pianists
Yeah it's so good that it plays itself on its own
@mariangeladagati5260 yes I love the spirios, this is still a recording of lang lang that u can play from any spirio, including MINE CUZ I JS GOT ONEEEE🎉🎉
@@rock8427 that's so cool!! Goals
2009: i shall show u how well i play
2019: playing for u guys is exhausting... might as well let the piano play itself
Lang Lang, what a great virtuosity you have shown over your whole musical career, i consider you one of the best classical pianists of the world in the present era.The way your fingers play the piece, clearly indicates, what a great and flawless technique you possess.👌👌👌👌Emotions of the piece were excellently conveyed 😍😍😍Take a bow! to the master of classical piano Mr Lang Lang🎹🎹🎹
Prasad Dubey absolutely agree, he is THE best, feeling, emotion, dexterity, lightness, etc, virtuoso Lang Lang, Australia 🇦🇺
The interpretation gives new meaning to the expression "to play with feeling:" Something as ethereal as his feelings are playing the entire middle section. I love the novelty of this entertaining approach. It made me smile as I intently listened.
Liebestraum is my all time favourite piece, it's amazing to hear Lang Lang perform it ^^
Liebestraum is amazing , but it's got a be un sospiro mate sorry
Aldo Ringo I love that piece too!! they’re two of the most popular ones haha
czcams.com/video/uSmXN_vTBNc/video.html
Aldo Ringo everyone has different but I personally prefer liebestraum even though un sospiro is harder
Me too. I fell in love with it at the barre
Lang Lang plays with his hands, heart, and soul. What a treasure to this world
He didn’t use his hands for a while
@@lizeyan1899fr
I'm usually not a fan of Lang Lang, but he nailed this one.
Listen to his romance in e minor by Liszt. It’s the best interpretation of the piece
@@TheGreatPerahia i thought you guys were actually praising Lang Lang but then i saw the whole video.
that wasn't very kind
How could you not be?
@@codelif wdym ?? they aren't ?
Just hearing this melody, so beautifully played, makes me try to imagine the extent of Liszt's genius. Hard to fathom.
Once you practice 40 hours a day for a year straight, you can control the keys with your mind
Everyone gangster until Jah plays Liebestraum 3
LOL
Whos jah
IM CRYING
Lmfao
You killed me man😂😂😂😂
Dear friends, Lang Lang is a lyrical pianist so pieces like these are played with so much depth and in a singing tone. His movements complements his way of playing the piano.
Just watched AGAIN, BEST IVE EVER HEARD,
Lang lang is so good he doesn’t have to touch the piano to play
lol
Amazing performance and the piano 👏👏👏
czcams.com/video/uSmXN_vTBNc/video.html
What an amazing piano
Ahh the joy you feel when playing for your number one fan: yourself. I remember what sometimes seemed like a miracle of sound that even I could sometimes create with my own fingers, which never ceased to amaze. I’m not close to his level, but I still could celebrate the sound coming from my own fingers hitting the keyboard of a Steinway or a Yamaha grand.
The most beautiful piece of all time (in my honest opinion)... on a Steinway... played by Lang Lang, currently the greatest Liszt player in my opinion... it doesn't get much better
♥️
Bhooshan Pandit You don't know that many Liszt players, don't you?
I personally prefer Un Sospiro. And I think Valentina Lisitsa is the best Liszt player.
@@fortnitegod6987 You have to be joking
Niccolo Paganini I do. And I think lang lang is the greatest at this point
ChaoticAotic nah, she doesn’t even come close to LL
who else has the goal to be able to play this BEAUTY of a song
Have you learnt it yet? I started recently, almost a minute through
piece
Goal achieved.
I want to learn this piece very much 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 I’m planning to start over the summer
Feels like this is the best interpretation ever
It sounds really good, but this sound is mastered and ecualized, so the original sound is this one: czcams.com/video/sl6nUx-XXKo/video.html
Some people claim Lang Lang always plays a bit like a robot so nothing new here.
All ridicul aside he’’s a wonderful performer. Not everybody’s taste I admit, but for me he’s the King.
Like a robot w t f
He make faces. He must not be emotionless robot
@@playspeedcode Do you have ears at all? If you think this performance is robotic you're musically retarded.
@@tyrrelllox7392 I said he is not robotic
@@playspeedcode It was clearly sarcastic.
Lang Lang so good at piano he uses his mind to play
Lang Lang´s performances of Liszt really are hard to beat, really great❤️
You can watch all the performances of this piece on youtube but mark my words-
You won't be satisfied anywhere but here cause this performance and interpretation is above all in terms of clarity, emotions, tempo, beauty and every other aspect you can think of.
Lang Lang surpasses all the living legends here and now.
I think he had to record that hundreds of times, cause he use to play Liebestraume faster and without clarity. But finally, this is his best interpretation.
No
I love watching him he pours his heart and soul into each performance
Actually this is the result of mastering piano for over 40 years, telepathic powers 🧠🤯😁 bravo Lang Lang!
i believe in the theory that Liszt himself played the rest.
It's a Beauty of though
Right
like through a piano roll?
@@josephlee392 yes
hmm but isn’t the most practical explanation that Lang Lang himself recorded a piano roll to then use for this performance?

The tune seems to be really sustained, perfect for making the piece really sound like a love dream
he is the master , so amazing
Absolutely brilliant as always! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I found another one via google with photo of Liszt oStanding on floor, music only, sure didn’t sound like this one! What an amazing Piano, the Spririo is, best wishes Australia, More of you playing would be fantastic, anytime anywhere!M
Jeno jando's interpretation. I like that one too, but I prefer the middle part of Liebestraume played by Lang Lang
Now this is Engineering marvel. The piano can not only record and playback, but with key movement too. Amazing!
You are THE BEST!!! God bless you always!
People who followed Lang Lang would realize that the part where the piano plays by itself is actually exactly the same playing as the one played back in Carneige Hall at 2003 or something. Or at least, the piece was played by Lang Lang--I could recognize his style of playing. If I'm wrong, correct me, @SteinwayandSons
this is it when you practice 40 hours a day. play piano without even touch it
when your so good that the piano moves by itself
Amazing interpretation! Definetely Lang Lang is a wonderful pianist.
He plays Liszt perfectly.
Liszt would be proud of this rendition, Lang did the Steinway justice
Rumor has it Lang Lang failed to have adequate time in his schedule to master the whole piece. So he came up with the brilliant idea to get a player piano to perform the majority of it, with him only needing to perform the beginning and ending. He spent the rest of the time on the beach. For a much needed vacation... sheer brilliance!
A player piano can't play that part that well, he probably just kept his best recording, but i think you might be right that the part he played at the beginning was his since you could hear that it wasn't his 100% best
steinway does have specific sound quality that defines enjoyment
lang lang is so good at playing piano, he can control the piano with his mind.
Beautiful, serene,With passion, and your playing speaks, to me.
랑랑과 스타인웨이에 공연 아주 대단해요^^
랑랑의 멋지고 깔끔한 연주와 스타인웨이가 만나서
저까지 행복합니다! STEINWAY&LANG LANG
In my opinion, simply the best version of all time...especially the middle part of it, definitely better than the original one
Forgive me if I am being too emotional.
Langlang my hero
Liszt recorded himself playing Liebestraume no.3? Or what do you mean with "better than the original one"?
I think the middle passage is very similar to evgeny kissins and I prefer his version over this though. More emotional tbh
Not the fact that he used his mind to play
Liebesträume (German for Dreams of Love) is a set of three solo piano works (S.541/R.211) by Franz Liszt, published in 1850. Uhland's "Hohe Liebe" (exalted love) is saintly or religious love: the "martyr" renounces worldly love and "heaven has opened its gates". The second song "Seliger Tod" (blessed death) is often known by its first line ("Gestorben war ich", "I had died"), and evokes erotic love; ("I was dead from love's bliss; I lay buried in her arms; I was wakened by her kisses; I saw heaven in her eyes"). Liebestraum No. 3" is the last of the three that Liszt wrote, and the most popular. It can be considered as split into three sections, each divided by a fast cadenza requiring dexterous finger work and a very high degree of technical ability. It is one of the few times Liszt has shown that he can write colorful, lively music, instead of fancy arpeggios.
Thanks, but I can see Wikipedia by myself too
feels like i could live in this melody forever
The "SHHHH" after that one kid clapped. lol
hahaha yes
Just the right amount of emotion, and touch Maestro!
Really fantastic LL style. Thanks much.
My first DMT experience. I played this song and what I saw was miraculous. Nothing but loving maternal patterns.
Perfect piano and one of the world's best pianist! What a combination. 😍
this was such a cinematic experience i might cry
Video in nutshell:

I really enjoyed it with my 7 months brother.
Beautiful as usual!!!!!!👍👍👍 Other than pure envy, why would someone give this performance a thumbs down???
@Nicholas Wilcox I just consider what he played to be amazing! 🙂👍👍👍
Ben Perea I think so.
Because it’s a terrible performance compared to other older pianists like Barenboim or Cziffra
