The content creators behind it are almost never punished, as they bring players and revenue to the game. Unlikely but definitely a possibility.

Saying cases will go extinct is bogus. There are still tons of case #1 floating around in tf2 despite its drop ending over a decade ago. They hit a point of collectors commodity and people stop opening them, and the price freezes.

I bought a bunch with them but later ended up opening them lol. Crazy to see he was right.
