If Furina is indeed the real archon, Arlecchino assassinating her would cause a calamity (maybe a flood) as she is divinity. Same way when the God of Salt was killed by her people.
I think the Furina we see is genuinely a normal human/puppet cursed to play the role of the hydro archon while the real deal is in the Oratrice, so killing her would theoretically not do much. It would however create some... problems for Fontaine to say the least.

I'm guessing that Furina gave her powers as the Archon to the Oratrice. Could have a couple of reasons, maybe because she came to the conclusion that Archons are still too human for giving perfect judgement. I mean, Neuvi is sure she is the Archon, could he be wrong? Besides, she is around for like 500 years, there has to be something unnatural about her, right? And of course, the statues in Fontaine do look like her.
Yes and no! Nahida said in 3.2 that Focalors makes the final judgement. So furina and Focalors are two different beings. Focalors is the one in the oratrice

Her Gnosis is in the Oratrice since the people gather their emotions for the verdict, I assume that it's similar to how Gnosis grants power to their wielded in assocation with how much their believers feel about them.
@@kiyopawnSince Neuvi also said that the Usurper took a part of Sovereigns' powers, we can assume that Gnosis are actually those powers but in a sealed form (and from what I remember, the translation of Gnosis from chinese to english is literally god's heart, which further corroborates this).
The Gnosis being inside the Oratrice is perhaps the sole reason Oratrice and Neuvi always had the same judgement.
As for Childe situation, I think that either Egeria, or other Furina did something to the Gnosis, and that Childe's sentence is some sort of "look over there" message.

Not all archons are the same, Arlecchino should not set expectations and perceive the others to be the same as her Tsaritsa lol. After seeing their interaction and Furina defending the accusation that she's not doing anything vs the prophecy, clearly states that she's more than just that flamboyant, dramatic and "bratty" lady. Theres more to her than meets the eye and i cant wait for her lore on 4.2
Maybe, but even from the foolish Raiden Ei, you feel this sense of awe coming from her. And if you think about it, one can tell Venti and Zhongli got something more to them than it meets the eye, though you can't outright figure it out that they are the Archons. But Furina doesn't act like a God at all and her aura feels so lackluster. You could tell there is more to her than it meets the eyes, but not in the way Venti and Zhongli's mysterious-ness intrigues us. There's definitely something very wrong with her and I do think that she isn't the archon. My theory is that Focalors may have locked away her memories so that her present self wouldn't mess with the plan she has in motion. We definitely saw Mary-Ann do that to herself in the world quest.
Remember, Ayato and Yelan hold hydro visions. We know that the type of vision given out is based on how close the person's personality is to the archons. Definitely secret Furina is playing out a masterplan that no one understands. Not even the Ludex or the current dumb Furina.

Furina being so weak and incompetent is kind of genius. I don’t know what the previous hydro archon was cooking, but by leaving Furina weak and in the dark as a figurehead has actually protected her to a degree and made the gnosis much harder to find. She’s essentially a red herring for anyone plotting to get the gnosis, and not worth confronting or being seen as a threat. This might be the hardest the fatui have had to work to even find the gnosis.

You just might be right. Furina is the "drunk" personality, while Focalors is the "sober" personality -- sort of like Jekyll and Hyde or Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Also, perhaps the gnosis is not worn outside the body, but is INSIDE her like how Nahida's was. Where inside? WHY are YOU going there?!

Could it be that while the former Hydro archon was fighting in the Cataclysm way back and died, her nation Fontaine, was also facing its battle? Without their archon, Fontaine fell and lost as well. Then, Furina, the current archon was born in Fontaine after Egeria’s passing. She learned that everybody there have died and that she’s all alone. Maybe those were her tears (feelings) that we can still hear in the fountain of Lucine. Out of desperation and love for Fontaine, she revived everyone using the primordial sea waters, as oceanids. Everyone in Fontaine ARE oceanids. Fontainians are elemental beings, that’s why we can harvest their energy via the Oratrice to power the nation. Furina probably was cursed by Celestia for doing so, for interfering with what should have been (reviving the people).Celestia took her divine power and even her consciousness, but she was able to put her gnosis in the oratrice first so she can still guide and be able to fulfill her role as an archon, God of Justice even by means of becoming a machine. The current Furina probably is an empty shell of what Furina used to be, cursed by Celestia for all we know.
Maybe that’s why Mage ‘N’ was the one who introduced her, because she made a change in history for bringing her people back from the dead.

She was hitting her with a lot of questions and knowing furina ( has a split personality) I feel like that was her other side talking when they discussed the fate of fontaine since most people are aware, that the primordial sea will sink fontaine and everyone will dissolve. Also I strongly believe Furina’s gnosis is inside the oratrice it would make sense why she possibly kept it there Arlecchino is hands down the best harbinger

I mean considering Furina’s kit (gameplay wise) has Archon written all over it, I highly doubt she isn’t. Meaning, she’s as cracked as past archons and has the unique Archon trait of having 100% uptime on her skill by having a CD that’s much smaller than the skill duration. That being said, lore wise, there’s something definitely super weird about Furina that we haven’t learned yet. In her official splash art, she is for some reason holding a vision (probably fake) that she hasn’t been holding in the game so far.

it would make sense for neuvillete to have a concrete link with the hydron archon with his kit being so alike to hydro traveler's (there's even a synergy with the droplets)
He does presumably reclaim the full powers of the Hydro Sovereign in the next archon quest, which includes furina’s powers.

I'm so glad we're finally able to talk with the Fatui in a normal and trustworthy fashion after being completely hostile and biased against them for no reason.
Maybe it's just Arlecchino, but they clearly aren't hell-bent on creating chaos for fun. They still care about their respective nations and their feelings are directly tied to them. E.g. Signora despising Venti because of the suffering Monstadt went through because of his lack of presence, Scaramouche now studying about Irminsul because he wants to undo the unfortunate fates like his own, Childe caring for his homeland because they're the only ones who show him kindness, and now Arlecchino who's putting her duties on hold in order to save Fontaine.
I was wondering why traveler was hostile against them just like that as if Traveler doesen’t do anything wrong everyday for a précise objective, either to help or for own things.
Venti was sick (Probably) and had to sleep. Fatuis did some plots that indirectly killed Diluc's father. The Fatuis in Liyue tried to fuck the city with a old god, Signora and Morax was there but a single mistake and the city could go to hell. Scara was selling fake visions that could take a lot of your life and the Fatuis minions tried to blow up a entire island of Inazuma. Scara in Sumeru tried to become a maniac god and murder Nahida. They also make unnecessary approaches in Liyue and Mond. I mean? Makes every single sense. Traveler was beaten by La Signora, then was unable to stop Childe, got beaten by Scara, defeated Signora, beat Scara to the end being one shot by Dottore, the Fatui that basically tortured one of his friends (Collei). The only strange thing here its the way that he acts all friendly with Childe

I think Furina IS the hydro archon, but possibly that there’s something holding her back or blocking her from using her true power. Or maybe it’s something the previous archon did just before she passed?
Only time and the 4.2 patch can tell us the real answer!
And that's something linked to why the prophecy has her sitting alone over a destroyed Fontaine?
My current theory is that Furina is the archon but her power is "split" by the curse. My best guess would be that her godly half and the gnosis are in the Oratrice.
Theres this theory that every gnosis are the power of each sovereign dragon, celestia took it and gave it to the archon to rule each region, furina still is the real hydro archon, and neuvillet is confirmed hydro dragon, after finishing 4.1 archon quest it all make sense now in order to solve the crisis of fontaine. furina needs to step down and give the archon tittle to neuvillet, because neuvillete is more capable of solving the primodial sea water issue in fontaine, he also need the power of hydro gnosis to be able to use his full power as a hydro dragon.
That’s not a theory. Archons are confirmed to have small fragments of the Sovereigns’ power.
But that can never be because the way the story goes, the gnosis will eventually fall into the hands of Fatui one way or the other. The already got the most of them

For some reason, it all moves too fast, just as fast as the Inazuma Archon Quest, except we have more time to fill with an extra patch to finish the book. As rumors of Arlecchino being playable arises, it just feels sad we won't have another Harbinger to duel.
My fear was the pacing, and yh it felt like inazuma, I'm a little afraid for the last parts

Maybe. But there is also the thing that archon's powers dont sit well with each other. Nahida herself said that the electro gnosis in her hands could bring disaster, and the same logic could be applied to hydro archon and delusions, a power given by tsaritsa

Alright, this definitely changes everything. But now I have a crazy theory;
What if the Hydro Gnosis was destroyed?
There’s a theory that when the Sovereign were defeated by Celestia and the humans, Celestia put most of the essence of the Sovereign into the Gnoses, and divided the rest into Visions.
And before you mention Apep, know that his full essence hasn’t been released. Nahida stated that she and Traveller just purged the corrupted side of them, and it’s shown upon its release that it was only a part of Apep as they didn’t return to full physical form and was just spiritual.
Anyways, eventually Focalors gets her hands of the Gnosis and becomes the Archon, and eventually she experiments with the powers of the Gnosis and attempts to use it to power the Oratrice.
Yet something goes horribly wrong, and the Gnosis is destroyed in the process.
And while most of the power of the Gnosis was absorbed by the Oratrice, a portion of it was released, and gave form to Neuvillette.
As a result of the Gnosis being destroyed, Focalors lost her powers and abilities to divinely utilize justice. In addition, she lost her memories of how the Oratrice functioned or how she lost her powers.
And as the Sovereign has now been partially released, the prophecy can now become true.
Because just as the Sovereigns hate Celestia and the Archons, a released Neuvillette would want to destroy Fontaine in revenge.
But the reason he hasn’t done so yet is because he’s not at full power and doesn’t recall everything as the rest of his memories and power make up the Oratrice.
And as for how this would affect the Fatui getting all 7 Gnoses, I can imagine that with Neuvillette’s release that they would intervene and put at least most of his essence back into a new one. That, or the Fatui could put the remaining essence into a new host and use that.
Arrlechino and childe are like the only harbingers that speak to our character without hostility. We didn't even talk to dottore properly, signora and scaramouche were just too full of themselves. I wonder how capitano, damslette, pulcinella and sandrone will be like.

@@ratkaslanathere's a massive difference between Gods and archons... the are peasant God's like which kid Shenhe killed there are God's like xiao which are still below mid ranking God's then there's powerful God's like osial who could take all the mid ranking God's of liyue and still be winning... then there's archons who decimated all their competition which is why they were crowned archons...
As for sumeru Rukkhadevata was ridiculously powerful and she had help from Desheret so no one could actually challenge her... as for Nahida she is weak and not a combatant even raiden speaks of how she is powerful in other ways hinting at it not being combat and Dottore only started talking big after putting traveller to sleep with a cheap potion otherwise he would've gotten his cheeks clapped
Lastly let me point out that dottore still fears the power of his archon and she is by no means anywhere close to the strongest... being close to God's in power doesn't mean close to archons... even raiden 1 shotted a pretty powerful God in Orabashi without the use of a gnosis
The archons are the strongest gods(both venti and nahida have weakened significantly combat wise as you would know if you read the lore) with only the sovereigns and the primordial one(who I think is the unknown god) being stronger
But... if Arlecchino is not an enemy and we are already at fifth nation, How are they gonna make us fight the 8 remaining members of the fatui ?
Are we gonna go in more places before snezhnaya ? Are more of the members not gonna fight us ? Are We gonna help the Fatui in the end ?
So many many many questions in me.

My guess is that the former Hydro Archon sentenced the people to be dissolved using the Gnosis to influence the Primordial Sea, Furina either was struck first or most gravely for this sentence and thus cursed but because of her divinity, she didn´t die, as for Neuvilette, he probably was asked to fulfill her sentence rather than the Oceanids, and when he ultimately refused to sacrifice everyone for their assumed "sins", they chose to leave Fontaine

I would think that furina have double personality? So her double is the one who does all the work, hence she confidently (well, not really) said she have her own plan. But she doesn't know the detail of it. Its probably related to the curse arlecchino talk about?
Interesting, although I haven't played the archon Quest yet it's getting interesting pretty early. NGL but the Sumeru Archon quest starting was kinda boring for me especially after playing the Chasm quest.

I had a lot of doubts because of internet on the furina question and a lot of people think that she isn't the archon, some times i believe them but a lot of people as well don't do a simple thing: go watch the statue of the hydro archon and you can clearly see the the hair style is the same so why so much people think she isn't the archon, maybe i am missing some piece

i think furina is like an eye of some sort, the archon's way of seeing the outside world. the hydro archon is capable of dividing a small part of herself, and that became furina, kinda like avatar. the real archon is probably staying in the oratrice. furina's eyes reminds me of syaoran in tsubasa chronicle.

I’m starting to believe that the hydro archon is split into 2 entities: Furina and the Oratrice Macanique d’Analyse Cardinale.
Given that Furina was inflicted with some kind of curse as revealed by Arlecchino, and she doesn’t remember anything even before creating the Oratrice, it is quite possible that she used/split her power to create a machine that would accurately carry out justice while also creating an energy source that will most likely be used in some way to combat the crisis, as also mentioned by Arlecchino.
After all, everything about Furina seems to be split: Her appearance, her kit, her personality. It is very possible that the Oratrice is the one in possession of the Hydro Gnosis and thus is possibly the mastermind behind it all. Specially given how Furina confidently says she has been working on a plan, but is unsure as to what the plan even is, almost as if she’s speaking for 2 different entities.

Maybe Furina/Focalors is actually two gods in one, with Furina as the "light" side and Focaors as the "dark" side. Furina wants to save Fontaine from the prophesized flood, whilst Focalors wants to bring about the prophecy to drown Fontaine in a "cleansing" flood. I think it has something to do with "original sin" and their perspective of it. Furina thinks that everyone can be redeemed, whilst Focalors thinks that everyone is past redemption. Maybe that's why Neuvilette "overruled" the Primordial Waters' judgement, since he too believes Focalors to be too extreme in her judgement.
Regarding the Oratrice, maybe the gnosis is held within, but the judgement handed out by the Oratrice is affected by *both* Furina and Focalors, hence when the Oratrice handed out odd judgements, Furina is at a loss since she doesn't actually know the reason and need to consult Focalors to get the full story. Since the Oratrice is technically "the Voice of the Archon(s)", Neuvilette, who might or might not know the Furina/Focalors thing, has to follow through on the Oratrice's verdict, even if it seems unfair.
So basically a "Good cop, bad cop" scenario
