Well his fate was one of the most confusing and talked about status of a chaacter in the entire first game, so them doing this hints at somthing big.
To be fair, the end of this game gives a super simple but obvious stinger that there will be a third game. If anything Joseph will probably be featured in that, specially when you consider Ruvik is still out and about inside Leslies body somewhere.

Neither is Ruvik remember the ending of the first game Leslie's possessed body walks away from stem after Ruvik transfers his mind turning him to goo. I expect we will find out what happened to. Both Joseph and Ruvik in the 3rd game seeing as EW2 has no DLC! XD
I think that Joseph is in hiding like I think Kidman took him somewhere safe so no one know where to find him. That's my thoughts. In my predictions, I think in The Evil Within 3, we may play as Joseph as the main character. Kidman and Sebastian will be subsided character.
2022 and Im still waiting for my favorite survival horror to get a third entry in the series, I always thought Joseph was cool with his sick black gloves and his intellect was admirable in the first game. Im so down to play as him in future games, hopefully that will happen. I just hope they dont butcher the franchise modern gaming is kinda ehhhh, it aint the best

@@michaelbarrett8141 game rights usually belong to their publishers and Bethesda isn't really eager to experiment these days. Especially since Shinji Mikami wasn't involved with the second game as much as with the first which makes you think if they even wanted to continue.

If you played the First Game you will notice at the End the People who are in the Bathtubes are dead. The Doctor of Leslie or the Ambulance Guy. However of all the Bathtubes with People who are alive or dead only about two are empty. We know that Sebastian and Kidman are alive. One is Ruvik in Leslies Body. So the only other Character who it could be is Joseph.
I knew he wasn't dead because you could hear his heart beat inside the tub on the final chapter of The Evil Within, I knew I was right! Although I was surprised to see he didn't make an appearance in this game. That and Ruvik, he escaped inside Leslie's body

Still they finished the story in TEW2, without even mentioning Joseph in the main game. I take that as an insult to the fans. This game well deserved to flop.

I agree it is alot less creepy, part 1 is better in my opinion.
Even if the first game didnt have the grainy graphics the enviroments were scarier in the first, the bosses were better in the first game, laura ruvik, safe head, chainsaw murderer. The enemys like the two headded ones were based off split personalities. Also the bow was much more useful in the first game.

I don’t like how they treats Joseph after TEW1, at all.
①In TEW2, he gets mentioned only in a missable scene and Seb seemed to be completely okay with having a happy ending without Joseph.
②In Ghostwire: Tokyo, there are some missable Joseph Easter Eggs; we can find his glasses at a building and see “オダ生きてるBANK”(＝Oda-is-alive BANK in JP) being written at an ATM.
③In Hi-Fi RUSH, we can meet Seb and Joseph as cute robots in some chapters. That is good I think. But after finding all of them, we can get an achievement that says like “I don’t really know but I think Oda is alive lol” in JP.
I don’t know how other Joseph fans feel about it, but I personally find these treatments very offensive. TEW2 kind of dropped Joseph’s character completely out of the storyline. And now they’re making his whereabouts into some missable Easter Eggs. I think they doesn’t really respect Joseph’s character and maybe they just used him as an unimportant comic relief from the start. I’m sad.

I really, really really really hate how they concluded TEW2 without any explanations about Joseph and I still think TEW2 is the WORST sequel in gaming history. Joseph was Seb’s fckin partner. He was the one who kept supporting Seb after the fire, he was def a important person to Seb. Why TEW2 Seb doesn’t care about him it’s like an insult to TEW1 Seb’s character. Honestly in TEW2 I wanted Seb to go rescue Joseph instead of the mcguffin named Lily. SEBASTIAN’S STORY CAN’T BE CONCLUDED WITHOUT JOSEPH. I still really hate Seb’s characterization in TEW2 and kinda have a grudge against the writers.
And now it’s 2021 there’s no hope for Evil Within 3 because they fckin abandoned the first game’s storyline and TEW2 bombed so hard. Rest In Peace The first Evil Within, my beloved game. You deserved so much better. Seb and Joseph’s relationship deserved so much better. I’ll never forget about you.
サイブレ2への不満が余りにも多すぎるのでここにも静かに呪詛を残します。何かの間違いで開発者やベセの偉い人の目にとまったりしないかな(ねーよ)。もうサイブレ3の事は諦めてますが、サイブレ2が1作目のキャラに酷い扱いをしたことは一生忘れないと思います。サイブレ2は多少の新規ファン獲得には成功したかもしれないけど、薄っぺらなキャラ描写と雑なストーリーに酷く傷付けられたファンが少なくともここに1人いますよ、という静かな主張です。
どこかの世界ではジョセフがキャラクターとして大切にされていてセバスチャンとも再会していることを願います。

Evil Within 2 was the worst sequel ever made, which completely ignored the pure relationship between Sebastian and Joseph and just tried to appeal to straight white American dudes who has a family(and bombed so hard lmao it totally deserved it), but I won’t forget that Joseph definitely existed in Evil Within and he was so important for Sebastian.

what a stupid reason to hate on a game, the 2nd game while I do agree it falls short in that horror aspect compared to the first, its no where near the "worst sequel ever made." Theres worse out there take halo 3 and halo 4 for example, take black ops 2 campaign to black ops 3 campaign, the last of us 1 to last of us 2(very arguable though, point still stands)

DzLrsy if moebius knows everything and they know Joseph is alive, chances are that he's somewhere in the Mobius and kidman knows for sure. I could be wrong but i dont think i am. Especially if you read all the files like why would Mobius let him out and about if he was in stem? Why wouldn't Seb know he was alive if he was trying to find mobius? That makes no sense

In the first game Kidman saved Sebastian by lying to mobius that Sebastian was dead with another 2 people, the cop and doctor, no Joseph so mobius probably took him i guess.

The Evil Within loading screens were way more creepy than the sequel, I hope they can make more out of it. and also the graphics in the first game was just so dark and edgy it really gives you a haunting and horrifying theme i guess its because of the environment unlike in TEW 2 its on the city and it has that GTA V vibe on it ( without stealing cars ofc )
Anime Vinex yeah i like the first game it has horror already at the game menu like something just gonna come out of no where and then scare you but in the sequel i still like the game but it almost feels like the last of us but at least they still kept the horror in this one
