They must be somewhere down south. Here in Michigan that is too little insulation to meet the r38 code for roofs on finished spaces. I just did this at my house and had to get closed cell foam sprayed. No other way.

The gel stain on the floors will start to peel eventually if you don't put a coat of polyurethane on top. I know from experience.

I would have loved it if you put the bead board in between the beams and kept them exposed. It looks great. It would be kept a bit of primitive or rustic charm to it though keeping those beams exposed.
Gonna be hot in the summer but that’s ok. Need a ridge vent to pull the air out from between your sheathing and your radiant barrier but you don’t have that or eave vents. Interior Looks good though.

Very nice but I just had a conversation with someone on how purposeful those big attics were to the cooling of the house! All the heat rises up there thus helping to cool rest of house. We know because we grew up in one .

You may have done something that I missed to correct this, but in general, finerglass insulation should never be attached to the roof structure. It ALWAYS leads to water damage, and mold. Always. The plank sheathing in this room cannot be damaged by mold, but it can still rot from wet fiberglass insulation being attached to it. Water is undefeated, it will get in there at some point.
No only that you don't have adequate airflow to pull the condensation off the underside of the roof.
The the foil barrier on the outside and the insulation paper on faced to the inside looks like a moisturizer trap to me????

Not gonna lie this looks like the attic in my old family home. I lived in that attic for a while just like it was.
I'm gladnit looks like you ensured some space between the underside of the roof and your insulation. If there's no airflow in each individual space between rafters your gonna have moisture issues. When we build houses we use baffles and solid foam insulation with the radiant heat foil stuff on one side.
Cant imagine the summer up there i hope you got enough tonnage in that AC to support another 700 sqft

dry wall is pretty heavy but I'm guessing that isn't a full sheet. does look to be around 1/2 inch thick. shouldn't be super heavy.
They weigh around 20 kg and there are also lightweight ones that weigh 15 but these ones also look a bit shorter than normal so they might weigh less. Unless she used something new that weighs even less its pretty impressive for a girl. I have seen guys struggling while doing the same thing.

if you do this in moist climate you will get mold (yeah , even with her so called "air channels") . In hot climate you will be baked in that attic. (even with the "radiant heat barrier" or what she assumes is one ) To you and others it might look "comfy", but give it a year or a couple of years and it is a absolute POS.
