About this channel: Welcome to my channel. I'm Amber Smith. My husband Granger and I live on a little farm in central Texas with lots of animals and our beautiful, super funny kiddos. We have London, Lincoln, River (who is now with Jesus) and Maverick. This channel is a spin off of our family vlog The Smiths.
I started Arise, when we lost our son, to share my feelings of loss, grief, love, hope, parenting and my faith journey along the way. We comb through scripture, I share what the Lord puts on my heart, I answer questions and more. My hope through Arise is that something I say makes you want to seek Jesus. He changed my life and my heart when I was in my 30s and I've been sharing the good news ever since.

I always tell anyone struggling to look at Job. He never stopped praising the Lord through all he went through.

I understand everything you just taught. I was living with my mom and dad as they both battled cancer. Then the unexpected. Our daughter Dana 26 yrs old transitioned to heaven through a tradgic automobile accident. We withdrew life support at the end of the forth day. Exactly 2 weeks to the day I held dad as he whimpered his last breath. Then 3 months later I held mom as she took her last. I ran into my Saviour's arms and He has held me, protected me guided me, loved me and has transformed my life by living through the WHAT instead of the WHY. It is well with my soul. All praise, honor and glory is returned to my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for sharing Amber, God is using you in a great way.

When you know the story behind "It is Well With My Soul", it certainly brings more heartfelt meaning to the song. I love that song and pray that I could sincerely speak those words if put in a similar position.
It is a favorite hymn of mine as well. How such a beautiful song can come from tragedy can only be a gift from God.

this arise episode was encouraging our salvation is eternal. trials make up our testimony. God stories are powerful for sharing to show others that God is good. in our trials we become aware that we cannot do it on our own strength we need God's strength to beat the trials.
God is So Good.

Father God make a way 4 me and my sons.😢I’m seeking guidance through fasting, prayer. As a single mother I feel so alone. God I know my faith in you will get me through my hardships I’ve been facing with my sons as a single mother. Both of my sons are special needs and require much from me. Lord I’m trusting your plan but as I struggle to pay bills every month and as I struggle to buy groceries I ask that you give me strength to hold my head up because I’m ashamed. Get me through this Lord Jesus. 💕

Thank you for another great video! As someone who continues to battle through trials and suffering with disabilities and chronic illnesses I truly appreciate all of your videos that help all of us. This week was another really hard week as I ended up in ER after an accident taken in by the paramedics and found out some really hard stuff once again as I laid there on a backboard with a neck brace. As hard as all of this is I laid there crying but kept remembering that God has brought me through all this life has given me and He is good all the time no matter what. No matter what comes or the outcome here on this earth He will work all of this out for His glory, His Kingdom and my good. I may not receive healing here on this earth and that's hard but I know that He knows what is best and that's what matters most. As I laid there with my phone battery ready die, I got the notification for Granger's sermon about suffering so that was so timely. I'm so thankful for you and your family with sharing and encouraging everyone.

Amber, I am really really struggling with something so hard. It’s the loss of a friendship that I’ve had for 8 years. My dear sister in Christ whom I’m closer to than my own sister. Please pray for me…I am so devastated and broken over this.

My daughter watched an upload from another sweet young lady and it saddened me that even these joyful believers can be used to elevate the platform by celebrities like Billie Ellish and Taylor Swift. Both have mocked Christianity. This is not to be critical. Only to point out that when God works in our life and gives us a platform we should all use it for good. We have a higher responsibility. And typically this wouldn’t be put on a young child but if her parents give her the opportunity to speak and reach others it’s just something to consider. My daughter enjoys these celebrities as well so I understand how hard it can be.
I always found it interesting that satan does not take away Job's wife. She appears to have been more useful to satan being left in Job's life. Not a great wife apparently.
