This video is simply incredible I've only known them for 25 minutes and 29 seconds but now I will devote my life to making their name spread
Same
Congrats on your first sponsored video Dom!
Maria Sprocket is the original Hatsune Miku
Through fnaf I became aware of the existence of old-school animatronic performers, and fell in love with the concept and I watch bunch of videos about it, so knowing Namco had some pretty cool looking animatronic band members is pretty cool
Congrats to Dom for completing this work and having the first sponsor!
Thank you again for sharing your historic video, it is the first time and only time many PiCPAC fans have seen them perform! 🙇
You're incredible!
Seeing your work makes me feel that my video life for the past 30 years is very meaningful.
Such a beautiful labor of love this was! Dom, Borri, Mustard, Voxy, and everyone else; you all should definitely be proud of this masterpiece!!
I have always been a fan of Namco as a kid when I played Namco Museum Vol.3 on PS1 they were my favorite go too Arcade games
I never knew about PicPac and some other stuff from Namco
Wait... Dom got sponsored ?! Man those GBG video be makin you famous to brands :D GG
Yes dom IS FINALLY GETTING RECOGNITION FROM BRANDS
WOW, not only the first sponsor but, the video editing is way too good
Such a lovely, incredibly well-researched video! You've worked incredibly hard on it and it certainly shows! Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to work with you, it was a wonderful experience! :D
It really was a pleasure to work with you Voxy, thank you for all your hard work and for the incredible style you brought to the video! ✨
4:09 ohhhh, so that's why when picpac research was at it's prime in the server there was a sudden boom of popularity with Nyamco and Mappy at the time
Always fascinating to hear the history of super specific subjects like this! Really great job on the research, writing and editing for this beefy video. Voxy did an amazing job with all the motion graphics too! Really hope this video receives the recognition it deserves!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! ✨
This video is great and I can only hope that the CZcams algorithm has mercy on us and recommends this to more people. Amazing job to everyone who worked on this!
Voxy really had a hankering for that one spinny zoom effect
Dom is now a big boi CZcamsr
The thumbnail sold out! Woooo! /s
Oh my god, I have been obsessed with this band for just over a decade. This is like Jesus to me. I can't thank you enough for making this video. I haven't thought of them for a couple of months and just found out today that footage was found. Pic Pac just came across my mind all of the sudden and looking to listen to the ps1 music, I found this. You are a beautiful, beautiful person.
From one PiCPAC fan to another, I'm really glad you found this video and enjoyed it 😊
Somewhere…someday Namco will see robotics as a lucrative market again. Maybe one day PiCPAC will return to give another performance.
This is an amazing video! An online friend of mine introduced Picpac to me! I’ve been super fascinated with them ever since! All of the research that you’ve done and the information you found is astonishing! I would love to see a whole new generation appreciate all of the members of the Picpac band!
As a fellow Namco fanatic, this was amazing to watch. The video footage in particular is a revelation in my eyes.
Thanks for the comment! Your Namco OST uploads and logo collection are amazing!
@@VideoDojoPro haha Thank you for noticing that.
This video has made me oddly invested in PiCPAC’s history. It’s such an interesting piece of history and I feel like it couldn’t have been documented better. You have really outdone yourself Dom, wow!
Seeing the band perform on a video from so long ago really felt like stepping into a time machine. It’s awesome seeing something so obscure come to light just by shooting a message to someone who shot a video of a robot band decades ago. Really.. amazing stuff!!✨
What an experience, thankyou for taking us on a trip into this magical little world. The top-notch editing made this surprisingly immersive. Seriously what a great finale! Remarkable investigative work.
Wow, just wow! What an incredibly well researched and beautifully presented buddy, Dom! This I think might be your best work so far, I know you worked really hard and spent many tireless nights working on this, and it really shows, it's amazing!
I'm so proud of you :)
Thanks for the very kind words and of course for lending your silky smooth voice to the video 👏
Yoo Dom making it big with that sponsorship, congrats!
Also i love it when people talk about obscure type stuff, especially stuff like this and i thing you did a great job doing so, keep it up! And good job to everyone else who whas involved as well!
What an amazing video, Dom! Super fun and informative, great editing, and lots of facts that even a Namco buff like me didn’t know! The fact you were able to find full artwork of the band along with concept art is VERY impressive
It truly was after my own heart, as I thought 😌
This video was amazing from start to finish. PicPac's existance for the very first time was probably the best things I've learned about and I'm so glad you got to make a video about their history. I can certainly tell the effort put into this is massive.
Wow, incredible stuff Dom. Your research and investigation was one of an absolute private detective. Voxy did an awesome job with the illustrations, the editing was better than what it ever was in your videos and it was super interesting and fun to watch! Congrats for your fisrt sponsor, you're truly a toddler gamer now
I've been looking for info on this robo band for years and only found few pics and then moved on. Great job keeping up the good work!
This is so cool, congrats!
So glad CZcams recommended this video to me randomly, because I'm definitely subbing to this if THIS is the kind of video you're producing! This topic was fascinating, this video was well-edited, the research was astounding, and you delivered on the promise of showing off PICPAC in action and built up to the moment so well. Most importantly, you definitely did get across the wonder of Namco Museum, and the "Robots are fun and the future will be AWESOME!" spirit of Japan in general and *definitely* Expo '85, which is SO freakin' refreshing in 2023 when too many luddites out there are scared of AI and ChatGPT and expect freakin' Skynet instead of Astro Boy from robots. It's depressing out there, but PICPAC is the exact opposite, and the world needs more of that, so good on you for diving into this and showing it off! Fantastic work!
Thank you for your exceptionally kind words! ✨
I bet the secrets of the robot band PICPAC has been buried for decades years until now. But I heard about a place called Game Space Milayia that ran from 1982-1985 and I still can’t solve that mystery for now. I know that the game center showed in the PS1 game “Namco Museum Encore” which was only in Japan.
I actually came across ゲームスペースミライヤ during my research for this video, I don't know a huge amount about it but I'll continue to do some research because I'm also interested to know more!
@@VideoDojoPro I call that a Namco mystery.
Fantastic video! I was so obsessed with all of the Namco Museum history in the 6 volumes..Pic-Pac being a highlight.
I love this they look like Mega Man bosses!
Epic video my favorite one is the drummer
Strobo's motion is funny 😆
Ahh this is so cool! As an avid fan of animatronic bands (mainly the RAE/CEC haha) this stuff is FASCINATING to me, and ah their designs are all so cute!
24:48 😏 thanks RGC
Also I just got around to watching this and just... Holy wow, this is some grade A stuff
I kept feeling "woah, I (kinda) know this guy"
I have been in love with picpac for years but only knew basic knowlege, I absolutely adore this video for shedding more light onto the band and finally finding footage.
Btw, the popping sound strobo makes doesnt mean his pneumatic cylinders are going bad, the valve bank to control those cylinders was either starting to get a stickiness problem or werent muffled at the time, I know people who build animatronics and before they muffle the valve bank got the pneumatics loud popping sounds can be heard
Thanks so much for your kind words! I’m glad I could shed some more light on these amazing robots! It’s so great to get your insight onto the popping sound from Strobo, the specific workings of pneumatics are not something I’m familiar with so I’m glad to hear more info from someone in the know!
@@VideoDojoPro no problem! By the way could you link me to the song in the footage? I'd love to archive all showtapes possible for Pic Pac
@@coolcrawford If you're referring to Bason Chen's live footage of PiCPAC, the link is here: czcams.com/video/FjGdCAH0-fs/video.html
If you're looking for footage of the song being 'performed' by PiCPAC in the clip, it's the song SINKY-YORK by Jitterin' Jinn. Here's a live performance of the song from 2000: czcams.com/video/aap2BguHDq8/video.html
@@VideoDojoPro I figured out where the video and what the song is, thanks for sending links though.
My main issue is trying to find a clean studio recording of Slinky-York by Jittering Jinn as it seems that's what the animatronics used. However its weirdly difficult
@@coolcrawford Ahh I see, The studio version is on Spotify (open.spotify.com/track/0zuXp4AtqYfQQIF7ZPsc0X) and Apple Music (music.apple.com/pg/album/everyday-single/332030336) but sadly there's no studio version on CZcams currently.
You sure did a lot of intense research. I learned a lot of new stuff about the band.
Yo a sponsor! Yourreally growing dom :D
These videos are always a treat!
Thank you for this
Fantastic video! It was so cool to learn more about this side of Namco I never even knew!
Absolutely excellent work.
Thank you so much! 😊
Maria is my favorite (edit who's your favorite bot)

What was with the blurred credit?
10:15
i missed it im sorry
It's kinda the fault of Bandai and Namco merged together and because of that Tekken is still isn't that well known when compared it to Smash bros for example.
謝謝!
I should say "謝謝!" one thousand times to you for sharing your wonderful footage! Thank you so much for allowing PiCPAC to be seen for the first time! 🥲
@@VideoDojoPro I was going to donate 30 US dollars instead of 30 TWD, maybe I made a mistake? ( 😰
@@VLOG1988BasonChen Do not worry, I'm very grateful for your kind gesture all the same! 🙇
This is straight up the best thing I've seen on the internet in years. Massive respect for your research. Incredible scenes. 💯🥲✨🏆
Wow thank you so much for the very kind words, happy to hear you enjoyed it! ✨
