- US Army soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division conduct realistic combat training during Operation Warrior Shock. Operation Warrior Shock continues March 9-12 with the 1-21 IN Gimlets getting after their turn at Company EXEVALs. 65th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1-27 IN, 2-14 CAV and 225 Brigade Support Battalion continue to build the team of teams by supporting Wolfhounds in their training.

Your best bet is to enlist infantry on active duty and select Hawaii as your #1 place to go. Chances are you will not get it. However, if you complete your first contract and re-enlist, you can probably get a 25th ID assignment.
I got in by mistake in 1966. I then volunteered for airborne and made it into the 173rd. Best move ever.

I wish we had these uniforms I went from BUD'S to the worthless POS ACU's I did get to where the Vietnam era OG-107'S when I got issued them in Ft Campbell in 87 retired in 09 with the ACU garbage.

But but but what about Marines?
Marines are about to begin the process of downsizing their operating forces. I've been out for almost 3 years, but I heard we're getting rid of all our tank battalions and several infantry units. Maybe Defense officials think we are encroaching too much on the Army's capabilities, so they're making us return to our expeditionary/naval/amphibious roots.
Same type of training, as part of Apache Co. 1B /5 Marine Division. Army and Marine Corps infantry does the exact same training. The Marine Corps does however preach the amphibious side of these trainings. Grunts are Grunts regardless of what branch.

but saw gunner carry his own spare barrel and maybe 800 to 1000 round by himself, not light load at all, and TL would expect you to bound with his rifleman
