Thank you so much! I only got my ukulele at Christmas but it's my sister's birthday today and I thought that I'd learn this as my first ever song! She lives in Spain so hopefully when she wakes up in the morning, she'll be able to see me playing/singing to her from England! If it weren't for you posting this, I wouldn't have been able to do it!

hey I have a tip
If you can't switch to g7 fast enough in the first part, put your middle and first fingers in place for g7 so they're ready and all you have to do is move your ring finger :P

Yes the intro is very long but I just broke it down and picked up this song like nothing. I played it over the summer and haven’t touched it since. Today I decided to pick it up again. It’s a really easy concept. He does a great job explaining everything. I broke the song into three parts and wouldn’t move on until I had the first part solid. It’s a great song and who wouldn’t love someone singing and playing the uku for their birthday. Thank you
This is my favorite tutorial I've seen so far. I'm not sure why people are complaining. I just wrote the notes down so I could practice more. Super helpful and it sounds great. Thank you very much! I hope I'll be able to play it for my sister-in-law's birthday tomorrow. :)

Thank you for this! Was looking for a slightly more than basic finger picking or chord “Happy Birthday” tutorial. Your combining of the finger picking and arpeggio / chord is perfect. Still easy but a little more complex than most of the HB tutorials on CZcams.

Wow all those other CZcams videos about how to play ukulele say it's so easy, but then when I watch them it's so confusing....thanks for making this easy and actually making this for beginners because other people act like everyone knows which string is which..this is the only video I actually can understand thankyou
So the entry to the video has a slow start but I learned this song in one day. He did a fantastic job at explaining everything step of the way and the pace was slow but I still had to pause it and break it down. Great video, thank you

Thank you for teaching me my first song! I still have troubles with transitioning into g7 and some times f, but his is the first song I've learned to play fully...and the end bit was the best part (first part that clicked, then was excited to get the rest right too) I may have replayed that last half 10 or more times, but thank you for the lesson.Now I can play it for my friends birthday in a few days, hopefully smoother by then, but super excited to have finally learned a song!..play end bit here :)

Im using the green app from the adds (idk what its called) it has a tuner and teaches you the basics of playing a ukulele (and other instruments:1)
