How Long Do Fillers Last

A question I get asked a lot which doesn’t always have the straight forward answer people expect it to is ‘How long do fillers last?’.
In general, when you are starting out with filler treatment we normally have a bit of restorative work to do to get you from where you are to where you want to be. This can be done at one appointment, or, according to your preference, spaced over several appointments. However, when we have reached the optimal correction for you, the need for further treatment slows down dramatically and we typically only need to do much smaller filler top-ups every 12-18 months to maintain the outcome.
In my view the process in which filler dissolves in the body takes a lot longer than is currently recognised by manufacturers. Watch this video to hear my thoughts and as always let me know in the comments below if you have any questions👇🏻

My tear filler is nearing 1 year this in a few short weeks. I was told 6-8months. I'm really confused as to when to top it up. I go to my injector fir dysport next month. I'll ask him, but will he know? I'm worried this will start to look bad if it lasts too long? I saw a video about the mri studies that show it last for years later. It just either flattens or moves?
