Basically the music of Sabbath had to carry on even after Ozzy. And Tony Iommi is a very unique player that has an incredible and dynamic range as a guitarist that he was able to display on this Excellent recording.
I’ve always loved this song and a lot of the post RJD Sabbath material. Vastly underrated. I saw Sabbath in 1995 with Tony Martin on vocals. It was a great show with Tony doing justice to both the Ozzy and RJD era songs.
Wow, Sabbath had some rough times in the 80s. I do own this album as a Sabbath completist, but this was originally supposed to be Iommi's solo album. The studio thought it would sell better with the Black Sabbath name attached to it. Thus, the drastic change in style from other Sabbath releases.
Honestly, this is the only real low point musically in the 80s. The 2 Dio albums are killer, the Ian Gillan album is underrated, and Eternal Idol and Headless Cross w/ Tony Martin are also really good
black sabbath with ozzy is evil i like it but i also love dio tony guitar techniques got better IMO and oh god that neon knight solo i can listen to it 100 times and will never get bored i think glenn hughes work with tony on the solo album 'fused' is better than what they did with black sabbath but this song man have some good vibe although its not like BLACK SABBATH style but
+Hard Life To Love yes yes it is i dont mean demonic as if they worship the devil the music have a demonic vibe just listen to that cry in the beginning of "the writ" nib tells the story of Satan who fell in love with a human thats just a few of alot and alot of examples
+fahad abdulkareem same here bro. I was about to delete the music then the chorus came. Shit its actually good. If you try to listen to it pretending you havent listen to earlier Black Sabbath music. haha
+Jerome Castillo yep as long as you don't compare it to the ozzy or dio era you actually gonna accept the song xD that lead me to discover tony martin era also .... and he is great
Glenn Hughes is one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time, shame he tends to get so little respect. His work with Deep Purple and more recently with Black Country Communion was top notch. He just wasn't built for Sabbath songs. Seventh Star album rocks, though.
Scorpie Wait a sec- Black Country Communion? Is that a band he was with or formed? Just curious. I think he formed another band called California Breed, right?
Oh, ok. I didn't know that. :D Thank you. I have to say this- Glenn Hughes is an amazing singer. He totally rocked Seventh Star out. I love the bluesy sound to his voice. So beautiful :D. BTW, thank you for telling me. I didn't know :D
I remember watching this on VH1 Classics but forgetting the name of the song but remembering Tony getting in a limo or now seeing a car such a good one
Cold is the night Lonely till dawn Cry for the light For the love that won't come You said that you'd never Leave me alone I gave you my heart You cried for my soul An angel won't come This devil won't go Something is wrong I just can't get away Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love But I'm a stranger in your arms Yes, I'm a stranger in your arms Maybe it's right But I just can't understand The hurt that I feel For my love second hand I know I should leave But I just can't walk away Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love I'm a stranger in your arms Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love
Many diehard fans may not like d pop side of SABBATH. But this is actually something & different about them. Especially this song was from d Glam Metal era of 1986. \m/
Wow! This song and "short promotional film" are REALLY good! I am shocked that I took such a negative view on the later Black Sabbath studio long plays without Ozzy and Dio! Saddened by me being like that but happy I am coming around now! It is so sad that Glenn was so into drugs so badly and for so much of his life. With that said one of if not the best vocalist would join the group on this project for the tour! Ray Gillen!!!
I actually like this song and I think Black Sabbath's music from the eighties doesn't get its due, but man, I'm glad Tony Iommi got out of whatever funk he was in when this video was made, because he looks really out of it
The video reminds me of Brian May's "Too Much Love Will Kill You". It kind of gives off the same tone of heartbreak. Iommi gives slot of punch with his guitar work.
I know, this isn`t sounding like Sabbath but it`s theire best song. Pleace don`t hate me my friends in Norway (i have discussed this with them since Seventh Stars came out, ho ho)....... PS! Dio, Ozzy and Glenn all sounds great but the song is a classic power ballad. Love from Norway.
I have always been a pretty big fan of this album (as long as I remember that it's a solo Tommy album). Of course, Glenn could sing my 8th grade poetry and make it sound good!
Iommi is the best guitarist in the world. Who is this amazing woman at this video? English native woman specially the blond women with blue and green eyes are the most beautiful in the world.
I don't care what anyone says; I *love* this song. I do prefer the album version, which is a little bit longer and with none of the "ooooh"s and "aaaah"s that this poppy version has. But it's still a great song. Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes are gods. Period. End of story. 🤘
I know now, I understand what glues all of Sabbath albums together despite the many different singers. It is nothing more than Iommi's deep somber doomish guitar playing. The solo in this song will tie it to Black Sabath. I defend this as a Black Sabbath album.
One of my all time favourite metal ballads.
Fantastic track...and album with Glenn Hughes...
This video is like Tony and Glenn are having a 'who can give the camera the most deep, meaningful looks in a single video?' competition :-)
No, that's just Glenn being totally blasted after a little whiff of nose candy.
@@GorditoCrunch343 A *LITTLE?!* 😆
But seriously, Glenn wins here, hands-down. ❤️
That's keyboard player not glen Hughes.
Reading "Iron Man" by Tony and he says he'd never been so embarrassed b4
"Tasha Yar breaks up with Black Sabbath's guitarist while the guy from Deep Purple sings about it: the music video"
Im only here for tasha 😂
@@chimchu3232 same here.
😅😅😅
Amazing
Amazing Vocals by Glenn Hughes! What a voice!
Basically the music of Sabbath had to carry on even after Ozzy. And Tony Iommi is a very unique player that has an incredible and dynamic range as a guitarist that he was able to display on this Excellent recording.
my favourite black sabbath, I absolutely adore this song, its so typical 80's which I love, im obsessed with 80's
I found this song on my dad's cassette tape collection when I was in highschool. "Slow Rock of the Year '87". Later on I got hooked. \m/
Seventh Star was TOTALLY underrated album...!!! This line up was SO solid.!!! They should released another one album tho!!!
Really
Oh man I love this song, a very underrated album. Who's jamming this at 2019?
I freaking am
One of my favorites. 80s music forever
2020 and 4ever!... 😎🤘
Love this album , still one off my absolute favs in 2022
I am seventh star ✨ baby Heard this in the a80s
I’ve always loved this song and a lot of the post RJD Sabbath material. Vastly underrated. I saw Sabbath in 1995 with Tony Martin on vocals. It was a great show with Tony doing justice to both the Ozzy and RJD era songs.
Glenn Hughes manda muito bem, grande vocalista, Tony Imommi mito, the 80´s rules!
I'm sure that Tony's wife Maria gets to hug him like that. It's so sweet to hear he's married to her. They are such an adorable couple :)
Pretty awesome jam.
Brings back some great memories when it first came out.
"Cold is the night,
Lonely till dawn.
Cry for the light,
for the love that won't come.
You said that you'd never
Leave me alone..."
Like almost everything made by Black Sabbath, this album is sacred. Love it since the day it was released.
Amen
Wow, Sabbath had some rough times in the 80s. I do own this album as a Sabbath completist, but this was originally supposed to be Iommi's solo album. The studio thought it would sell better with the Black Sabbath name attached to it. Thus, the drastic change in style from other Sabbath releases.
Ben Randolph I bought this album for this song alone and ended up loving every song. Sweet!!
Honestly, this is the only real low point musically in the 80s. The 2 Dio albums are killer, the Ian Gillan album is underrated, and Eternal Idol and Headless Cross w/ Tony Martin are also really good
I love Seventh Star is such a great record
My all time favourite Sabbath song
Thank you for sharing this great classic
Had this on tape somewhere in the 80's. Thanks to CZcams still can enjoy such classics...
Восхитительно! 🤘🖒❤❤🎶🎵🎤🎸♩🤘🖒
Un gran dupla!! El gran vocalista ex Deep Purple Glenn Hughes junto al mítico y legendario Tony Iommi, de antología!!!!
True charm. A singular hit. Beautiful sound.

I love this song, and the guitar solo is🔥🤤
Música marcante!!!
great song!!
first time hearing this... love it
it took me three tries to actually like this song it was hard for me to move from ozzy& dio eras but now i love this song it rocks !!

Леденящая душу до мозга костей... Жаль, что никому из них никогда не повторить своих рекордов :(
Star Trek The Next Generation meets Black Sabbath. Thats Denise Crosby aka Tasha Yar from Star Trek The Next Generation in the video.
+Thefatscotsman Rumors were that Denise was supposed to be a Lita Ford look alike. Who Tony had been dating and had broken up shortly before the video
+David Topchiev I knew they were engaged. Just all the stuff surrounding the vid
My favorite Black Sabbath song
Alguns BRS escutando essa música top em 2017 ???

Isso aí é Tony iommi solo, jamais será sabbath,
Glenn Hughes is one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time, shame he tends to get so little respect.
MsJagger19 California Breed is BCC with a new guitar player as Bonamassa wanted to go back to his blues thing.
Oh, ok. I didn't know that. :D Thank you. I have to say this- Glenn Hughes is an amazing singer. He totally rocked Seventh Star out. I love the bluesy sound to his voice. So beautiful :D. BTW, thank you for telling me. I didn't know :D

But isn't Tony Martin singing on this?

Essa música 🖤🖤🖤🖤
I love this song
Love it
Fun fact: Bill Ward was livin' on the street after he quit the band in 1983.
Cold is the night
Lonely till dawn
Cry for the light
For the love that won't come
You said that you'd never
Leave me alone
I gave you my heart
You cried for my soul
An angel won't come
This devil won't go
Something is wrong
I just can't get away
Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love
Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love
But I'm a stranger in your arms
Yes, I'm a stranger in your arms
Maybe it's right
But I just can't understand
The hurt that I feel
For my love second hand
I know I should leave
But I just can't walk away
Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love
Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love
Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love
I'm a stranger in your arms
Living on the street, I'm no stranger to love
Why can't you see I'm no stranger to love

1:43 That’s a “Throw It In” moment right there.
Vocals here remind me of Gary Moore.
+Jeff Grimm Glenn Hughes sang on Gary Moore's 1985 album not too long before this.
I feel a same :-)
so proud of u man u know who gary moore was God bless
im not being a dick , im ded cereal not enough people know gary, he was a bad ass r.i.p. Gary moore 4 ev
Glenn trained Gary as a vocalist back then.
My boy scout Scoutmaster is actually the bassist for this song, which is epic(Gordon Copley)

Bons tempos do verdadeiro Rock.

no soy amante del rock pero esta balada me volo la cabeza...

2019 and forever
Iommi is the best guitarist in the world. Who is this amazing woman at this video? English native woman specially the blond women with blue and green eyes are the most beautiful in the world.
Glenn Hughes canta muito!!
Is this really Glen Hughs??? WOW he's unrecognisable in this video!!!! :O
I don't care what anyone says; I *love* this song. I do prefer the album version, which is a little bit longer and with none of the "ooooh"s and "aaaah"s that this poppy version has. But it's still a great song. Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes are gods. Period. End of story. 🤘

Que gran músico y vocalista glenn hughes infravalorado lástima x su adicción a las drogas en su juventud...pero resurgió nuevamente
1:43 that verse riff is just killer
I know now, I understand what glues all of Sabbath albums together despite the many different singers. It is nothing more than Iommi's deep somber doomish guitar playing.
