I think this is the first recorded Pajero Evolution Track day (?)

  • This was a pretty weird day. I was more nervous about this than driving any car but it all worked out well. The Pajero obviously isn't built for tarmac activities but my curiosity has been piqued for years.
    Big thanks to Armin and MassTuning for allowing this crazy experiment to happen. It's unusual for trucks of any kind to be allowed on the track and I appreciate your trust.

    Haha, I would have been worried about it falling over! One thing it's very consistent at is looking super rad.

      I was also worried Dave! Going 100mph feels like being in the Millennium Falcon in warp speed.

      dude I tried to drive it in +/- mode and it's so quiet I couldn't tell where I was in the rev range. Strange experience all around. It would be fun to have a mixed terrain track to blast around.. or a completely open track to really concentrate on where the limit is.

    So entertaining to watch you toss the Paj into those corners! Great stuff! Those geolanders seemed to hold up really well considering the work load you were putting them through.

    did you go between 2 high and 4 high? any differences?

    • @race-partners
      @race-partners  Před 2 lety +1

      Zade, I didn't try 4wd but I was curious about it. I think that the upper recommended speed limit on 4h is 60 or something. It would have been interesting to try in a more controlled environment. There wasn't opportunity to do a few back to back laps on the racing line due to traffic (and my blocking it). This only means we need a private Pajero Evo course..for testing.
