Russian Army marches on 'Made in Bihar' boots manufactured in Hajipur

- The Russian-Ukraine war has raged over two long years since its outbreak on February 24, 2022. The Russian Armed Forces continue to pound Ukrainian military bases and buildings across the nation. Meanwhile, the Russian soldiers rely on India-manufactured safety boots to carry out operations in Ukraine. The Russian soldiers march on ‘Made in Bihar’ safety boots manufactured in Hajipur amid Ukraine war. Bihar's Hajipur city is writing its own story by manufacturing safety boots for the Russian Army. Hajipur-based Competence Exports, a private limited company, makes safety shoes for Russian troops. The boots are slip-resistant, have special features in sole, and can withstand extreme weather conditions even below -40° C. The firm has opened doors for employment for locals as it exported 1.5 million pairs last year worth Rs 100 crore. The response has been tremendous; it has turned out to be one of the largest exporters to Russia. The Hajipur facility also caters designer, fashion shoes to European markets, namely Italy, France, Spain, and UK.
