What a fun car to cruise down the road in. "Car 54 Where Are You", to "Adam 12" TV shows- those were the days when pizza-cutter clad, tire-smoking big block Police cars commanded the road, chasing criminals. "Batman" and "Gilligan's Island" and other favorites were prime-time TV. This car features the more economical, durable slant 6 (but you do not have to tell anyone!) A similar '66 Coronet Police Car was featured on Jay Leno's Garage.
This car looks and feels about as close to a new '66 as you're going to get. A lot of time and money was spent on it. Chances are it is nicer than any battle-ridden real-deal crime stopper from back in the day. The exterior paint has a nice shine, and the body is very good overall. It is adorned with vintage graphics, as well as lights & siren just in case anyone gets out of line (although we recommend you run it by local law enforcement before taking matters into your own hands).
The interior is a hoot with the dual bench seats, and it looks great! You will also find additional Police equipment inside (siren, PA & light controls). It is a attention grabbing conversation piece, great parade car, etc. And if you just happen to be in law enforcement… imagine the fun you could have with your buddies!
