you can find more sounds at: / stereophob To all you Sound-Nerds out there! I was bored, so I thought I'd share some Sounds of my Nord Lead with you... Enjoy! :)
you're awesome man. thanks for the positivity and inspiring video. you helped me make my final decision to purchase one secondhand i found.. thank you!!
the lead 1 was produced in 95 i think so the analog is 13 years old...the 2x is the same as the 2 but with nicer sound yes..the 2009 anniversary model is the same exact 2x and the new nord wave is perfect to put sounds that you already have in your posession (wave files) hence i think it could be whatever you want it to be + the clavia ( similar ti access style of quality) remarkable brand pre set tones
OMG you're so cute! I love the first pad sounds they're so solarstone-esque. I have a Nord rack 2 and i'm trying to learn how to use it. I gotta have lots of patience because I'm relatively new to sound synthesis and oh well... thanks for the video, loved it.
Hi, thanks for the fun demo. I just picked up a NL1 rack, with OS2.05, and play it with my Modular G2x (it is nice to still have the stonelike modwheel, and sprung log pitch stick). I haven't really made my own patches yet, but have enjoyed listening to you demonstrating yours. Cheers
Thoroughly enjoyed this man! Keep making patches coz you just reminded me how beautiful the sound of the Nord really is. By the way, have you ever tried the 2X version?
This is an awesome video!! My favorite part was when at 4:00 he goes, "ooohhh wwwow- great", which made me die laughing! I agree that the Clavia Nord Lead is an amazing synthesizer.
i really enjoyed this, it's great to see a lovely instrument and someone who has pahion for that instrument... i used to have the rack version of this and it sort of makes me sad i don't have it anymore listening to what you do with yours... i went back in time, getting a moog, but i'm going to be further in the future in a month or so, i'm getting the DaveSmithInstruments MoPho... anyway, thanks x
really nice sound. And Yes... I'm a sound nerd... thanks for sharind. THis synth is great. I'm actully spending much time on the sidstation who can make really nice pads (only 3 voices...) So don't complain ! ;-)
i love your dreads!!! and also could you upload a video showing how to play a Nine inch nails song.. that would be so amazing. like seriously. thanks anyways though!
Hey dude, awesome sounds, the patch that you play @ 3:15 is brilliant, you played the chords of a deadmau5 song called "HR 8938 Cephei" that came out this year in 2011, i swear you sold him that sound haha
dude reallyyyyy cool sounds I have a nordlead 2 but havent at all gotten such cool sounds out of it. really wanna use it for fat bass sounds and cool spacious pads any tips?
That looks like a nice jazz guitar you have there! Do you still have the Nord Lead 1? Am contemplating whether to buy a Nord Lead 1 rack or a customized ARP Axxe MK II, minus the keys. Have considered buying both but not sure that the NL1 would give me much that my Yamaha AN1x can't already do. Nice programming and interesting playing too, if you don't mind me saying!
Hey cool video, i was wondering if the keyboard is nice to play on? Im looking for a 4 octave + keyboard to drive my virus ti desktop but thought it might as well make sounds whilst its taking up space. :)
Thank you people! I decided to upload some more videos in the future soon. About this Nord Lead again. Maybe about my "new" Fender Rhodes too... Be excited! Cheers! :)
In the end everyone wants to have the nord lead ;) Althought the Nord lead 1 is great, it lacks polyphonie: Like I said - Only 4 Voices. That sucks. I think you'd go great with a nord lead 2X. It has also effects on it and more voices... The nord lead 3 has "virtual knobs", so you instantly see the differences, when you chance the patches. With the NL 1 you never know how the knobs are turned inside, when changing to a new patch. I hope you know what I mean?! :) cheers
hi, im learning piano and have a roland fantom g8.. thats why for the weighted keys!.. but im getting rid of it,ITS TOO BIG.. for a nord lead ! but im finding it hard to chose between 1,2,2ex and 3! please tell me the differences?!(BY THE WAY GREAT VIDEO ! NICE OF YOU PUT IN THE EFFORT)
Try to watch this video with automatic subtitles (click one of the buttons in the lower right corner)! It's just hilarious what CZcams think these sounds sound like in English. Almost like a hidden message buried deep inside the music...
ok thanks !!! so i heard that someone who had a 2ex lead said it was all round better than the 3?! so what would be the differences with 2 ex and 3? appreciate your replys !
I keep hoping these things dramaticly drop in price but they just keep going up lol.. the 2s anyway and the 1s are harder to find.. ive got a rack 2 but i just want to buy like 3 or 4 more of these things because however many synth videos i watch on youtube i swear this sound engine and its look and everything were like they're made exactly with my taste in sound design in mind
So you love the Nord Lead 1 and would never get rid of it. But now that some time has passed, do you think possibly the 2 or 2x may be a superior machine? Or at least comparable? Reason Im asking is that I have an opportunity to get a 2x for around $800, and just want some feedback/ outside reassurance that Im not making a mistake, xd. Well, thanks.
i know this is a synth, but im not much of a piano/organ/synth player at all really, but i just got one of those recently and are there any good presets...or preset mods to get a Doors sound out of this machine?!
bello! collezziono sinth...ma di questo ne ho perso l'occasione 3 mesi fà...quanto vale di 2" mano??? How many...euros second hands..could be it valuted?
thanx for the video! You're German aye, sometimes your English is a bit funny, like that bit at 3:11, lol. My attempts at speaking German fail though, haha. Keep playing!!! Ich gern spiele mit meinem synthesizer... or summat like that
Damn, did you smoke something or are you really such a cool/nice person? Anyway, very fine demo, I'm considering trading my DSI Evolver for a NordLead1-Keyboard. hmm...
I live in the U.S. WHERE CAN I GET ONE!!!!?????? any tips or links would be awesome. can anyone tell the diff btw the 2 and 2x, like one sounding clearer than the other?
Nice synth. One thing though and don't take it as an offensive statement, why do I often see people turning knobs by turning their whole hand rather than twisting the thumb and index fingers.
damn, I should get stuff 4 free from clavia, if I hear stories like yours :D well... no Idea. maybe u can get lucky at ebay... wow.. great hint, huh? :D
this is my favourite video of all time.
also, I watch this video when the world doesn't make sense, and your voice at 3:59 makes me smile everytime...your cool dude. thanx for a good vid.
Nice patches. I feel a lot of brothership for you.
you're awesome man. thanks for the positivity and inspiring video. you helped me make my final decision to purchase one secondhand i found.. thank you!!
You should be Clavia endorser
Very passionate demonstration

You got lots of very different sounds coming out of one machine. Very nice!
Good work men!

...I love my Nordlead!
Thanks for sharing!
Your accent is perfect, awesome vid too

Nice
and about my patches: Just do it yourself :) You can make it!
(a hint: Take 2 saw-waves - OSC 2 is detuned + 7 semitones higher... that's it)
i love your dreads!!! and also could you upload a video showing how to play a Nine inch nails song.. that would be so amazing. like seriously.

that clearly calls for: thumps up! :)
I think that more people should play this instead of a guitar...
That looks like a nice jazz guitar you have there! Do you still have the Nord Lead 1? Am contemplating whether to buy a Nord Lead 1 rack or a customized ARP Axxe MK II, minus the keys. you are mad, and I need to own this
Hey cool video, i was wondering if the keyboard is nice to play on? Im looking for a 4 octave + keyboard to drive my virus ti desktop but thought it might as well make sounds whilst its taking up space. :)
the nintendo part was funny
I used to want one of these, but now I think a boor bell from the Pound Shop mite serve me better.
Thank you people! I decided to upload some more videos in the future soon. About this Nord Lead again. Maybe about my "new" Fender Rhodes too... Be excited! Cheers! :)
you make me laugh :D
Great sounds :)
That sound at 1:30 is amazing!
How do you get it to make that sort of screechy sound, if you get me?
In the end everyone wants to have the nord lead ;)

thats the keyboard used for the NFS series soundtracks!!
high as kite as up
Nope: Smokefree since 1985... nearly ;)
Don't know the Evolver, but you never can go wrong with a nord lead. Besides: It just looks stylish!!! ^^
OMG, it's Z_Marr!
OSC 1 is tuned very deep. A little bit of FM and I think I had a Modulation for OSC 1 that detunes it even deeper... as far as I can remember...
your grandmom has a synthesizer?! I want to hear that one! :)
hello there realsakul i just bought an nord rack 1 what do have to do to play chords and sound normal?
Try to watch this video with automatic subtitles (click one of the buttons in the lower right corner)! It's just hilarious what CZcams think these sounds sound like in English. Almost like a hidden message buried deep inside the music...
omg! That is so funny! Thanks for this observation! :D

Do you know how much a nord lead 1 rack module is running for these days? They're hard to find information on.
bello! collezziono sinth...ma di questo ne ho perso l'occasione 3 mesi fà...quanto vale di 2" mano??? How many...euros second hands..could be it valuted?

I think that's OK. As I remember, I paid the same back then via Ebay.
Good luck :)
@mpresev, not yet, but I'd love to see the low-end-theory-club in real life one day
Hey, it^s Tingel Tangel Bob from the Simpsons
Wow great! Actually I'm a secret endorser for clavia ;)
nah - just kiddin'...
@Koeningsplein15 If it wasn't for the local pick up you would have found your buyer! =)
Have you been to Los Angeles?
how many voices does it have?
to many to count during this late hour ;)
@TheInvaderProject
:D heheheee.... u wouldn't believe me anyway!
Nice synth. One thing though and don't take it as an offensive statement, why do I often see people turning knobs by turning their whole hand rather than twisting the thumb and index fingers.
at least I have more control over the speed and the accuracy of the turning...
just have fun with one oscillator and tune the other 5 or 7 semitones up. It already sounds nice. #basic-fun-sounds
His accent :)
damn, I should get stuff 4 free from clavia, if I hear stories like yours :D well... no Idea. maybe u can get lucky at ebay... wow.. great hint, huh? :D
HE HE HE HE
btw how many dreadlocks do you have ?
no - what's that?
these sounds make me way wet
sounds incredible
if you had cool syntesizers, you don't need a girl
less talk, more sounds...
woah, weird al yankovic showing us a NL1 !!!
btw...i saw a flea in your dreads. 5:33.
So....er....have you ever kissed a girl???
Great video. Nord Lead has great sound. WTG
