  • This is an old tape of the Greaseman I recorded some 35 years ago and have still in my posession after all these years! Enjoy!

    While stationed at Quantico, VA, I listened to him daily in the late 80’s early 90’s on DC 101. Guaranteed riotous laughter experienced daily! Hobble d’gobnle, hobble d’gee, hobble d’wobble!!😂😂

      Me too. Got there in 81, Howard Stern was on the air one day, the next day was this guy, what a change. This guy made the 0600-1000 zip by.

    The Grease was in a class of his own.....he had his own style and was hilarious .....(like Sam Kinison) .......

      @@Omgitsover1552 first of all - your "people like you" comment tells us that you somehow feel moral superiority to "people not like you". This is wrong on every level, and will only lead you to play the blame game your whole life -I am sure you feel its not your fault, you will blame everything on someone else, and lack any personal responsibility. Secondly, "just die off" shows your lack of empathy, and inability to expand your thinking, see other perspectives, and debate. I wish you luck in your endeavors, and hope that someday, you will feel sadness for those you hurt.

    I wish I could find my set of these tapes. I got them when I went to DC101 for the live show. Thank you for posting this for the many addicted fans to this comedic genius!

    I did construction back then.....everywhere you would go in the new high-rise had Greaseman on the radio! These were the good oh simpler times!

    I remember listening to him in the latter part of the 80's on DC 101. He was on almost every radio in the office back when one could do such things. Imagine him playing on a radio that everyone could hear nowadays?

    He was even better when he was in Jacksonville at WAPE. He had some great characters at the station to use as foils. He is at his best when his creativity and wit bounces off other characters. He is an amazing talent.

      He was in the ATL radio market in the mid 90's and I thoroughly enjoyed his time there, listened daily! Sure, today he is viewed as insensitive and not politically correct...to those that agree I say thanks for your sense of humor! For those who don't agree with THAT assessment: to each their own!

      Back in the 19 70s my wife and I would be driving to work come to a stop light had a very busy intersection at the corner of University and Beach Boulevard. While waiting for the light to change we would look around in the Greaseman would say something outrageously funny people in every car would break out laughing all at the same time

    1988-91 DC 101 listened to him every morning driving from Laurel, Md. to College Park, Md. Green line tunnel project. Worked digging a tunnel. 25yrs old.
    Funniest Way to wake up and drive the half hr. to work!!!

      I worked a civilian on buildings and grounds crew in R & D Center down by the river in 1986-87. Was a lot of old WW2 buildings and equipment still there. The Greaseman is still the man!

    i am one of Howard's early fans and Greaseman i never found Grease shocking just strange loved both shows much more for Howard. nice to hear grease online again new shows 2020 very good still.     I listened to all of these, AND I have my own cassette of all these routines! It just occurred to me, listening to it again after all these years. In fact, I requested the"Damien" routine by asking him if he could do a story of the most scary experience he has ever had. The Damien one followed after a couple of songs!

    He is on web radio classics on the internet 6 pm Monday through friday 2020 thought you might want to listen to his show again it is a classic music station. i have been listening his show is still good I just did.

    This guy was so far off the hook!!.. OMG. The Grease was running the morning show... I was drinking coffee and burning a 'rette on the 12th story roof of a building in Crystal City, watching the airport and the sun rise. DC was in the eastern haze across the river. Life was fresh.

      @wylierichardson-tu6zs I was working in DC, on the 1st MLK day. We were listening to him in our office. By the time his broadcast was done he couldn't get out because it looked like half of DC surrounded the building. And Grease, added their reaction to his shtick the next morning.

      He was actually my french teacher in grade school. 'Monsieur Hobble DuGee', he was called. He hailed from Village Deux Chau Bagge. Oh, the fun we had, back in those days... :-)

      Yet his rating in D.C metro area were 1000 % higher the Howards . Howard should have been ban from radio after the Air Florida comment .

      @@quiksix25 Nobody did. Now radio is dead. Greaseman had some magic, maybe howard did too idk i don't listen to him. It's all dead though. Now when you tune in you get the same format all across the country, the most milktoast prepburger dogshit with no personality, no risks, it is dead, an entire medium of art, of people's enjoyment and fond memories is dead.
