Btw James, thought you all might wanna know there was a Welsh Fam & Ashton "love-in" (lol I'm old) during JenLuv's Sunday morning live. In discussing ethical skincare & makeup creators, the comment section turned into a big love letter to the whole Welsh team ❤ We gave all of you 10 Jackies, and lots of people mentioning how much we love Marcus & Ashton's contributions & love that you both give them time in the limelight too ❤ I think you learned a lot with ASOS then made a plan to build a career that could be used to lift up some of your most beloved people too. ❤

Licensed esthetician here that has used those hydrojelly masks! While it can be tough to find the right consistency with the powder (use a little more powder than water, like a 1.25-1.5:1 ratio), the main issue that I saw with the mask application was that it wasn't applied in a thick, even layer. Lay in on thicccc and maintain thick, clean borders... I'd say at least 0.25 cm thick all the way around. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes and then it should peel off a lot easier with less little bits sticking around. Regardless, I never saw huge changes with people's skin using these masks. I moreso gravitated to them after an exfoliating treatment such as dermaplaning, because I didn't need to use a warm towel to remove it. To see the most benefits, put a hydrating serum underneath the mask, and the mask will help push the serum deeper into the skin for better penetration. That's mainly what estheticians use them for... they look pretty for social media and its a sensorial experience for the client. Its not necessarily result driven 🤷🏻‍♀️

We was thinking the same thing. The girl who was applying the mask was terrible. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. Because common sense tells you to apply a thicker mask not thinly,Just like those drugstore peel off face mask you can't do a thin layer...

I hope everyone remembers that even tho some temu product doesn’t have anything weird on their ingredient lists, there are reported cases where there has been literal animal shit on temu products. And i’d think as you are influencer, i really hope you would highlight how bad these products can be and how unethical the whole brand is. They have stolen bank card informations too and some clothes have had heavy metal/lead remnants, so there are many reasons to not buy from temu.

I feel like the number of people turned off from it turning into a 'kids brand' and the absolute mess of the testers/products in-store will outnumber the number of kiddos whose parents would be willing to shell out $$$ regularly long term lol. My mom is/was an esthetician (licensed but left the profession due to COVID) and has a bunch of those hydrating masks at home. Whenever she practices facials on me, the masks are always my least favorite part because of how freezing cold it felt on my skin, but it does feel nice afterward. Also, I'm pretty sure the sea grape product is meant as a fun but luxury spa day kind of product, something you put on once in a while to feel like you're pampering yourself. But if you're gonna buy it, obviously never buy from TikTok shop or Temu. You have no idea if the product you get is contaminated or if you're getting the product at all (there are reports of people legit getting vapes and weed instead of what they ordered from TikTok even after TikTok closed a bunch of shops).

When I first used it I wasn’t sure it was working because I couldn’t see any gunk on the rim, then I unscrewed the metal tip to sanitise it I noticed that all the blackhead junk was inside, so if you keep using it you may want to look inside it instead of around the rim for results.

Though I'm wary of the pore vacuum, I love Foreo - I have eczema on my face and their Luna cleansing brush is the ONLY thing I can consistently rely on to cleanse my face without the risk of causing a flareup, more redness, or any peeling, and that is such a big deal as I've spent money at both ends of the skincare spectrum to find things that work for longer than 2 weeks. I've seen videos questioning whether or not their cleansing brushes are worth it (or if they are even necessary), but it absolutely is when you can't use your hands, wipes or hot cloths!

Those green beads are triggering a super vague and possibly suspect memory. Didn't one of the OG skincare brands, maybe Elizabeth Arden, Guerlain, or Estee Lauder, have something called Caviare way back in the day? Even before La Prairie?

I don't think I would like the face caviar either. The tan did look nice on your face, though. 💜😘💜

Love your nails!! I do think the drunk elephant gave you a slight glow, but I don't think it's worth the money. You could get that much cheaper.

Oh wow-I think I might be interested in the Kiwi Derma more, and I’m kinda sad you didn’t review that? It seems like an at-home dermabrasion device, which is so interesting!!!

That tip on the foreo looks exactly like the tips for microdermabrasion machines. 😉
I bet you could replace it with any standard tip.

15 grams in food measure is about what in the US we call a tablespoon - which is also 3 teaspoons. That's food measuring spoons, not the spoon you use to stir your tea. (I was a professional baker until the wheat allergy kicked in.)
Also I'm allergic to PEG so I can't trust anything that's sketchy with their ingredient lists. :)

the foreo thing is not supposed to be a pore vacuum, it's supposed to immitate microdermabrasion machine, especially with that abrasive attachment. microdermabrasion is amazing for acne scars and for dull skin in general.

Kids always try follow trends at that age. Trying to be grown up. Back in my day (00’s) it was thongs. 10-12 year olds wanting thongs and then the shaming that came from the few whose parents let them get everything. I was smart enough at that age to know I did not want to follow that trend for comfort alone. These kids will learn the hard way of having reactions and breakouts from using the products.
It’s only now at nearly 30, that my skin is tolerating the actives that everyone was buying a few years ago. I got acne at 29. My skin is both more oily and more dry, because I’ve always been combination, I always thought it would become one or the other as I got older. Not it more extreme. It’s a bitch to figure out what works for me, because I know my skin doesn’t like hyaluronic acid and sure, everyone’s adding it to everything related to skin now. Certain moisturisers will be too rich so I will break out and have a reaction to it so rash for days. It’s hard to figure out.
Excited about realising I can try those actives and see them work this time though. It’s fun to actually need to buy something and for it to work. Will be bingeing and researching with your videos James.

As an esthetician the application those hydrojelly masks makes or breaks the experience. If applied right it comes off super easy and is great. But that is very hard to do by yourself. Def recommend just leaving it to another person to put on
