John believed in and supported his son from the very beginning. A great Dad no surprise why Tyson is as great as he is now.

@@ma7561 I've been a fan of *Fury* since the *ITV* boxing days, the *Channel 5* boxing days, the *Channel 4* kickboxing and muay thai boxing days, the *BBC Three* martial arts documentaries and shows days, and the *Viva* UFC and Bellator days.
I only watch occasional fights nowadays, as all the big fights are only on PPV channels.

Tysons dad is old school,...hardworking and honest,...I remember my dad telling stories about my great granddad,...he was a coal miner by job,...and did bareknuckle fighting to earn extra money to put food on his table for his family.....he'd take on anyone, ...and often still covered with coaldust after a shift in the pit,...one tough bloke

@moz_boxing He got punched in the throat in sparring and has some kind of blood clot. Has seen doctors but decided against surgery. He's mentioned it in a few interviews/podcasts over the years, although his voice is definitely getting clearer over time
