When Electric came out, about 20 of us bought it and said the EXACT same thing. Every one of my friends said the same thing. 20 years later he fronted the Doors. The guy has that IT factor.
I was fortunate enough to see them in their heyday of the 80's(about 1988-1989) during the Electric tour in a small college town of Radford VA . Bonham, and Primus was on the bill as well. after a couple of Doobies, and a 12 pack of brews I was in rock-n-roll heaven.
Electric tour was 1987, saw it Lakeland Fl. They opened for Billy Idol who recorded his video for Mony Mony that night in Lakeland. Met the Cult minus Ian the next morning in Denny's.
This rocks. Never thought they'd play it live. Instant smile when the chorus kicked in. Ian is a shaman type of guy......for decades now. Rock hero.
In Rock-n-roll The Cult is a true true deal.
My favorite cult song and that is saying something.
Maravilhoso.. The Cult. Ian Astbury love. Forever.. Love Ian forever Astbury love
