Why did ShadowHunters even end? It's so good and has so much popularity.
E.B I think it’s because they could know take it so far and didn’t have rights to the spin off series right yet and they finished pretty much all the main books in the mortal instruments series itself they would have had to go completely in their own direction if it had continued.

Idk how the books end and for all i know this isnt canon in the books its just how they ended the show since they cancelled it
In the books,Simon lost his memory.
But,he remembered everything and became a Shadowhunter (See Shadowhunter academy I think).Also,Clary and Simon became Parabatai.
Then,there's another book series(the sequels) called the dark artifices.
You can see there,that Jace and Clary had a daughter.
So,that's why I'm ok with the series ending😂

I refuse to admit myself that this is THE END.I know as long as we have books to read and show to rewatch they will live forever,and the ending was left open for interpretation,But still knowing their won't be new episodes coming in new 2020 is heartbreaking.

I just keep watching it over and over. This is probably my 5th rewatch. I found this so unfair but no matter how many times I watch it still ends up the same and this scene makes me cry. I wish we could have had a few seconds more of Clace after she recognized him at the very end.

Actually it was a happy end because you can tell that the angels forgave Clary in the last scene. The look on her face, something happened and I think her memories were brought back to her

It’s been one year since they finished filming. Part 1 on the long road to then conclusion. Even though it will never end. This was still the last scene they filmed for the finale a year ago. Kat posted a video and a photo on social media earlier. I almost cried. Thinking how fast time flies by because it feels like it was just yesterday that I started the show and watched the finale all at once. So now I’m watching this scene to mark this anniversary. I will cry each time.
