- Found this CLEAN MX72 1986 Toyota Cressida station wagon a few months ago that I couldn't pass up!
Super MINT condition with a low mileage 5MGE that is plenty healthy đ
This oldskool cruiser is sitting dropped on SSR Longchamp wheels with BC Racing coilovers up front, & AE86 rear springs out back paired with shorter stroke KYB shocks. Also has TechnoToyTuning heim 4-links, T3 adjustable panhard bar, 1st generation Supra rear end & a RapidChamp intake under the hood.
Always been a big fan of old Toyotas, as well as Kaido Racer/Shakotan/Bosozoku Japanese style. This classy Cressida gives such a great feeling when driving, straight up 80's vibes!

Shout outs to Justin Goen (IG: @subtledriver) and TP Auto Repair for making the coilover install happen!
Very cool!. I have an 84 wagon. Only 10% of Cressida's were wagons.
Didnât know that, thanks for sharing!
I was waiting for this video! Hahaha kept posting photos teasin.
It was overdue but had to drop it when the wagon was finally ready for the reveal hahah
Yoo keep up the good work & the good content Ian you've been killing it!
Thank you!! Glad you're enjoying it and got more coming so stay tuned đđ
This thing is clean...
thank you, yes I was lucky to find a wagon this nice!
If you ever decide to sell it, Iâll buy it!
Thanks but I love this car too much to part ways with it anytime soon!
I know this video was like a year ago, I have a mx62 wagon with 68k original miles ^_^ I want to lower it could you possibly give me the description you used to lower your wagon! I would definitely appreciate it I can find any forums!!
If you check out the description of the video I posted what I used on my wagon to lower it. The front is on MX73 Sedan coil overs welded to the original spindles and the rear is lowered with AE86 lowering springs and 1987 Bronco II front shocks with the bushing switched out. Just double check that your car is the same bc I donât know off the top of my head how the MX62 looks underneath
@@boomboomtisk if itâs not too much to ask do you think you could send the links to where you bought it all from. ^_^ it would help me out a lot!
How did the ae springs fit? Have heard they don't quite fit right
They fit somewhat okay, I have an early 80âs Supra rear though so that might make a difference
What is the specific supra rear end your using and would it be capable of handling 500hp?
Itâs from a first gen Celica Supra, I think around 80 or 81. Iâm not sure what power levels it can handle but Iâve been told it can take a good amount. Usually comes with LSD too
@@boomboomtisk Alright thank you.

When you gonna post the Coilovers install video?
Unfortunately I donât have enough clips to make a video out of it, wish I could
@@boomboomtisk Iâm giving mine a paint job and coilovers next week ! Howâs your build going?
@@V1RRU374 the wagon hasnât changed much but just been enjoying it in this form đ
Hey there, is the coilovers same as the one for the mx73 sedan?
The front is the same but the rears will be a mix of parts from different cars. Mine currently has AE86 lowering springs and Bronco II front shocks out back.
@@boomboomtisk do you happen to remember which AE86 lowering springs you used in the rear?
@@brandontodd4937 they are BC racing
