I'm stunned. I really don't have the words to express how much I appreciate this broadcast. You just dished out an encyclopedia of life-saving information the last a lifetime. The words "thank you" just simply aren't enough to express my gratitude.

@culturefreedom89 We do that because we have such a low view of ourselves and see everyone else as better that us. We haven healed the mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and energetic abuse that was done to us (and is still being done), and as long as we are still carrying around that damage, we will never be able to treat each other respectfully and see the value in each other. Once we do that, the rest will take care of itself with a little focus and some intentioned action.

B1, Started listening and couldn't stop listening until the program ended. Shared it immediately with 4 of my friends, but I know their attention span lasts only for about 10 minutes. However, this one may hold their attention for 4 hours because of all the great lessons and the names involved McDonald's and Ray Kroc.

I once had a woman I was with for about 12 months tell me, "You're too straight-laced & work too damn much. I wish you were fat. Why don't you just lay here with me so we can get fat together." After thinking about smothering here with that pillow she was laying on, fully dressed, in the middle of the day, watching some rag tv show, I just turned around & left. That was the last time I saw her. She sent me a text with here phone number after seeing me with my new woman, (that I married). I deleted that shit by crushing that damn phone. I was making about $67k annually when I got married. Three years later I was at $600k annually. My wife just does exactly what I tell her to do at my business, that I own. No stupid talking, no dumb shit & no laying around getting fat.

We of course only know part of the story and nothing that is the whole truth about this story. However, I don`t think it was his intend to take over everything and make McD his. If the scenes in the movie are true. then he just wanted more money. Not a lot, but more than what he made. And they didn´t want him to own more, which is why the story has ended the way it has.

A little over an hour into this broadcast, and I thought about something DL Hughley told VladTV: he was saying that at the time he grew up in LA (during the 70s and early 80s), the black people around him would be influenced heavily by movies. In the 70s, everyone wanted to be Shaft or "🎶everybody was kung fu fighting 🎶", and then when scarface came out in the 80s everyone wanted to be drug dealers. Judging from what I've been seeing lately out here in LA, this film might be this generation's scarface.

Excellent break-down of this movie. I'm ashamed to admit that I believed for a long time that working hard was a virtue for no other reason than to support myself at somebody else's business. Meaning I was told until I entered the Army to "graduate from HS so you can go out and get a job from the "MAN", work hard for the "MAN" (so he can give you a paycheck), go to college so you can get a better job from the "MAN". I was never told from my family when I was younger to learn to be in business for myself, work hard to educate yourself to be more than a wage slave and build my own empire.

@bittertruth G that's the story for many of us. Our parents, and their parents before them, placed their faith in the " MAN " for their future, not in themselves. Much of it was fear to go against the grain, and a lot of it was lack of faith in being and building for ourselves. Don't be ashamed; realize what it is and work double time to change .

So you would listen to someone who has never accomplished what it is that you want to accomplish? That is why we struggle so much. Do we have such a limited mindset that we don't even believe we can find that mentor that knows what they are talking about and can guide us? Did you not listen to the video? That is what Ray Croc did. The Macdonald brothers were being successful at what they were doing so Ray listened to them, instead of his neighbor. The fact that we consider that concept insane is one reason why we aren't building an economy.

    • @TheBlackAuthority

Another great example of choice decision is "Hick's Law." The more choices one has, the longer it takes to decide vs. the less to decide from. Great video. Very informative. When you made the example of best artist doesn't guarantee success made me think of a comic book artist named Todd McFarlane. Tired of being cheated out of his creative expression at Marvel, he and other artists started Image comics publishing, Spawn, and his own toy empire becoming a multi-millionaire. He also invested in MLB signed baseballs, making another profit. He wasnt the best artist, but a brilliant businessman.

@ Martin Williams He played chess, they played checkers. He saw the infinite business potential, they saw themselves living a dream. That's what it amounts to.

They would never have made any money because they got lazy and figured they could use Ray Kroc to generate money for them. He really only got what he deserved

When The Founder first came out, I recall telling a lot of people to go see it, since it spoke to me way more than the black movies out at the time. Another great movie, is "Capt. Fantastic" about a father grappling with raising his children alone in the wilderness.

Gerald is exasperating. Until blogtalk cut him off, I was ready to do something I've never done...fast forward through a black authority broadcast. 🙄
I watched the movie too. It is a clinic on business building and branding. Great analysis Jason. 👍🏽

Mr Black, I like the part of the oration when you get to "drive is power". I love it. Just like a whip, which the cracking sound comes from breaking the sound barrier with such velocity it removes meat from bone--that whip's potential power comes from the "pullback" or "coil", like the coil a rattlesnake makes before it strikes--that pullback may initially look like a retreat, but oh boy, once it unwraps, like a wet towel all of the power is focused at the precise point, inflicting maximum damage. Yes, drive is power. Although I don't agree on everything you say, your delivery and spirit from which you deliver--the heart--is very powerful.

Im not a Connor Mcgreggor fan at all but girlfriend recognised the spark in his eye years before he made it big. She was way out of his league when it came looks or status. All she saw is a man with a dream and a unrelenting drive and believe in himself, he didn't have 2 cents to rub together and she was supporting him in pursuit of HIS dream because she believed in it TOO. And now that he's made it big she is reaping the rewards. A lesson we can all learn when it comes to recognising the right partner.

Brilliant broadcast as usual. The spoilers make me want to see it even more. On the agenda for the weekend.
