My favorite garden tour ever!
Wow, I watched this back in June or July and had to watch it again today. Living in Ontario doesn't allow the growing of so many of your beautiful zone 9 plants, but it's inspiring to see how you planned it with the boxwood parterre, and those cabbages! The asparagus fern, roses, dahlias, OMG it's all too much to absorb, but so so enchanting. Thank you for the visit!

Been to Napa, it gets hot. Hulio is growing peonys and hydrangeas! Growing tree roses to fit more plants at their base, genious. I need more clematis in my garden and peonys, swoon 💚. Can't wait for backyard tour!!

I have wanted to stop by Van Windens each time we are in Napa now I know I have to make it happen next time. Too bad you aren’t going to be in Arnold this week, my Iris are at their peak and I know you would love seeing them! The beauty of this chilly weather we have been getting is they will bloom a bit longer than if it were warmer. I started some of the African marigolds from seed this year. I had heard they had a touch of yellow, good to see the actual color. Ernest Markham clematis, a classic. I have got to find that daphne, mine only blooms the once. I grew peonies when I lived down in Linden, zone 9b as well, they did fabulous so I know you can do it. Wow, that white salvia I would’ve sworn it was a Veronica.
