I'll check your other vids to see what is involved in the LS, to me, one guy had to rebuild the front end to support the LS he was putting in his 54. I've done one engine swap, but it was get an adapter, and bolt it in.
I have a 56 2d hr top, it has the 500ci Caddy and bopc transmission, it also has richtech airlift 3h for suspension. Is there anything I need to know about my project car to be concerned about, if something needs to be custom made because it's probably not available anymore. Etc.....
It really depends on what you want to do. You can still get a lot of parts for them. I was able to still buy a front end rebuild kit, power steering gearbox, disc brakes, emblems, and some other stuff new. We ls swapped this one and had to build everything custom for it. We also built air box deletes to mount a new brake booster/master cylinder to. Built new brake pedal, two-piece driveshaft, and new tunnel to fit the 6L90. Replaced leaf springs with Ridetech triangulated four-link. Ridetech Shockwaves on all four corners with Accuair E Level air management.
What cam and what exhaust are you running? Thats one of the first LS's ive heard that I liked in an old car. I have a 56 myself thats stock, considering a 454 or maybe LS
Its a Texas Speed VVT 1.5 cam. In this video it had Dynomax bullet mufflers but have since changed to Magnaflow 18” oval mufflers with electric cut-outs in front of them.
It has the stock 3.08 in it right now. Rear end is too weak for what the motor makes unless you are just real easy on it. I will be installing a 9” soon.
Robert, did you go forward with a swap ? How was your 365 ? Mine is worn and the 7 people I talked about all said the same thing, "it's worn out, time for a rebuild". damn

Did you have to change the rear end gearing for the new transmission? Mine stock is a 3.08

You never know. I have had several people trying to buy it but nobody has given me a price that I couldn’t turn down yet.
