  • by Ben Keller The schooner Mary Day departs on 3,4 & 6-day cruises from the storybook harbor of Camden, Maine. A traditionally rigged schooler with no engine Mary Day was launched in 1962, the very first schooner ever built just for overnight windjammer passenger cruises along the coast of Maine. With thousands of islands, hundreds of harbors, and no itinerary we explore those parts of the Maine coast you can't get to any other way.
The spruce covered-covered granite shores of Maine's island archipelago shape a wholly unique cultural and natural diversity. Teeming with wildlife we'll see seals, porpoise, pelagic sea birds, bald eagles, and osprey along this still unspoiled coastline. Rich in maritime history the Maine coast features dozens of active lighthouses that once guided the sailing ships that spurred the economic growth of a then young United States.
Take a turn at the wheel, enjoy a million stars twinkling overhead, quiet conversation over fresh coffee, and delicious home-cooked meals made from scratch straight from the woodstove. A cruise aboard Mary Day gives you the chance to truly get away from it all. Join us this summer. Unplug your cares, recharge your soul.
