Everytime my hubby goes to Lowes or home Depot he brings me home another orchid, I have also ordered some online, I'm orchid addicted! Lol! My orchids are thriving thanks to you! I cannot thank you enough!

I have only had one case of crown rot over the years, on my Phal. Jiaho's Pink Girl, used your method and today my sister and I are both enjoying the keikis of that poor phal. So my success rate with your method is 100%, I'm really glad I discovered it back then in one of your older videos 😊

Once a month I disinfect my babies (Phalaenopsis)… which means I sanitize the roots, medium, and the foliage. After I’m done, i’ll wipe off any excess water, dab the crowns with a Q-tip, and for added extra measure, I’ll take a paper towels and cut it up into very small triangles that I can slip into the crown of my plants. I have OCD 🤣 but in the case of my plants it’s a good thing.

I sprayed only with hydrogen peroxide twice within a week and it looks like the infection stopped. Fingers crossed... thank you for all of your informations Danny, without you I Would have definitely lost many of my orchids...kisses and hugs from Greece

Ive tried to save three phals following your advice I cleaned away old roots and media, repotted with repotme media and I think one of them went into shock - all 4 remaining leaves turned yellow as did the stem - I took it out of the new pot and media and found the only remaining 2 roots it had were gone as well- all I am left with a the yellowed stem that I’ve placed loosely into a pot with damp, uncompacted spag- no green stem or roots - is it even possible it could survive at this point or is it gone

My pink diamond suddenly lost the newest leaf so right away I added cinnamon and I took it out the bark and found it had many rotted roots (I had just repotted it about a week ago) I’m wondering what could’ve happened? I always make sure to not leave water in the crown and it looked completely healthy when I first repotted it. Also will it continue to grow new leaves from the top?

Yesterday I received a Bellina Phal. From an orchid dealer. It has crown rot. :.( the top leaf fell off and the remaining two leaves are rotted where they attach to the stem. All but two roots are completely dead. It’s a young orchid. I will try your method and hope for the best. Should I water or not water it? I put it back in bark. Thank you for all your information!

My daughter brought me an Phalneopsis orchid that had a beautiful flowering spike, but she didn't think the orchid would actually survive, but thought the bloom would cheer me. It had a couple leaves and one of those fell off right away. So then just one leaf...then it sent out two more very tiny (I mean tiny) leaves I repotted it with a bark mix for orchids and I cut off dead roots, there weren't a whole lot. and the 2 aerial roots were dried up. (I have been feeding it) with a fertilizer recommended by an orchid grower friend. If I could send you a picture I would, but by what I have told you, do you think it is possible to save it? It has not been a real long time... maybe three months...

Where is your video to treat an orchid that lost 😞 its last leaf? Well It fell after I removed the hard and dry bits that were left at the crown or near it below the last leaf. 😔
One of my orchid is now leafless; but I am not throwing this one out as it does have some healthy roots (a minimum of 4 healthy roots). I took it out of the pot and it is now in a basinet with just damp medium underneath; but the root is exposed to the air and I do have one of my grow lamp about 6 feet above it and I also have my Dyson humidifier going in the orchids directly 3 feet across from Them.
Thank you for your feed back.

I noticed my orchid had crown rot. It lost all of its leaves they were still green and hard when falling off. I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide and did the cinnamon but it was after the last leaf fell off. It still had good green roots though. Will it come back or is it definitely going to die since it has no leaves?

Something ate the new leaves coming from the crown of my orchid. I suspect my cat although in eleven years he has never done that. Will it die now? Ive spent a whole year bringing this orchid back to health and life. The two flowers it had died right after the crown was eaten.

Luckily, I live in the Netherlands, so I'm not reliant on the kinds of places that water from the top. It does make me cross though, as it seems like such a waste and there must be loads of people who think they're terrible at growing orchids, but it's not their fault if these orchids come with crown rot.
