Axe - The Child Dreams (1969)

- Axe were one of the most obscure acts in the field of psychedelic rock and hard rock of the late 60's. Their sole LP is one of the rarest albums, only 6 copies exist.
Named simply "Music".
In the 90s a CD appeared with live recording, called "Live 1969".
They sound like some experimental Jefferson Airplane / Cream. Though this song is more Eastern like.. - Hudba
The Child Dreams
Long ago in times of old
When knights in armor were strong and bold,
When fairies lived beneath the trees
And flew about on bumblebees.
They bathed and swam in moonlight shafts,
And for miles around, you heard their laughs.
In toadstools large and small
Are tiny lights and chimneys tall.
Fiery dragons roar through caves
Sending out a mist-like haze.
Fat stout trolls beneath bridges lie
Waiting to grab whatever comes by
Think i know what such a place
Where spiders spin pure webs of lace.
I will take you there with me
And together forever we will be
In the land of no return
Like Peter Pan we live and learn.
+Kleostrato de Ténedos
I'm a bit of a sucker for 60s/early 70s psychedelia, but these lyrics are like they are written for small children, in a little illustrated book that would be read out loud to the class in kindergarten or primary school.
True! But have you often noticed that people (esp in Western cultures, German tradition for instance) like to weave such truths and ideals into children's stories because the adult psyche receives them easier that way? The adult mind develops blockages and sometimes has difficulty exploring the more mystical, wandering creative side of experience. And after all the song is called "The Child Dreams." ;)
Cast your mind to yesterday.
Do you remember?
It just turns out this way.

Whats it got to do with thr music?
For genuine fans of '60's psychedelia - this is the real thing ! Accept no imitations !!!!
Yes! Remember it all fondly. I miss the music, the psychedelics, the friends.
@@happyaquarian I'm just 60 , so i missed it the 1st time around - but , since 1977 I've been playing happy catch - up !!!
I’m 17, and I like 60s psych rock and I like modern 60s psych rock. I always feel somewhat lonely because people don’t share the same type of music as me, I don’t really feel unique, I just to hang with people my age that like the same music as me.
Mind altering music love the intro before the singing
Groovy!! 🪟❤️
Finding obscure psychedelia is exactly why we have lived so long!! This ol' fucker knows '69, a great time to come alive. I was built in '54.... :) Everything on this playlist is gold! Thanks for such a collection, my listening day is now set!
Teach me

This has much vibes like The End from The Doors. Absolutely fantastic!
magical, out of this world
It's amazing how the original is super crazy fucking rare but here on CZcams it has half a million views.
8 of the longest minutes of my life. i wouldn't have it an other way. this is mind blowing and beautiful. l love how the backwards bit unwinds at the ending
I put on my drugrug and stumbled to the Twelve Tribes to wake up my tired mind, but alas, it was their sabbath day, and my favorite barista Ezekiel was nowhere near. Forlorn, I was about to jump into the creek to cleanse my hidden regions which society deems lewd, when I heard a harmonious din arise from the unused theatre. I approached and was greeted by a Color Magic Meetup! Fuscia, teal, burnt sienna, all my spirit colirs were represented! I told the dancing elves my spirit name, and they theirs to me, and we danced to a bootleg recording of String Cheese blasting from the camper parked on the street, blessed be, the Manitou in you and me!!
I give up my age. I was twelve when this came out, and it's still unbelievable!
We don't know how many bands existed that period but there were awesome! This is one of them! Greetings from Greece 💜
Wow. I wasn't into this back in 69. I was only 13. I liked bubblegum stuff back then. Hearing this now makes me want to paint flowers on my face and wave my hands in the air. I luv it. Had to quit drugs cause I got a driving job but I still drink plenty.
Havent done acid since 70s, but I still dig the psychedelic sounds. Groovy. Ummaguma with a dash of Doors better moments and some Mark Fry "The Witch" thrown in. Glad u loaded this.
And love is all and love is everyone..
Can't argue with that
this video is AWESOME!!!

There's way more talent in sixties music. Tool never did anything near this.

A repress of this came out in 1993 and 1995 on vinyl and CD..........and it also does not come up for sale very often. I bought a near mint vinyl a couple years ago for over a 100 dollars.

Hello i from Brasil great music
More please.
mother great goodness!
This is dope
trippiest song ever made
Wow! I love the era this song is from, whether it's the American well-known classics like Jefferson Airplane or Cream, or the lesser-known Cambodian or Tai or Turkish psychedelic creations, or from Northern European musicians like Bo Hansson. But this song. . . just wow! I have listened three times now and am not bored yet. Weird side note- in my mind the sound took me to an alternate realm where everything was fantastical, but there were dancing skeletons. They said not to be afraid but I sensed a spell. What magic is this?? Btw I was not high while experiencing this. :)
Either meditative visions (awesome!!) or schizophrenia (not so awesome) 😂
Cream are British.
Reminds me of the Silver Apples a bit. Nice!
my universal mind just came in its metaphysical pants.....aaaauuuuuhhhhmmmmmygawd
