Osasuna quiere despedir a Jagoba Arrasate, su técnico los últimos seis años, con un homenaje en forma de victoria ante el Villarreal, para el que el partido es intrascendente debido a que no tiene nada en juego.

No se esperan grandes cambios en el once navarro. La entrada de Moncayola por Pablo Ibáñez podría ser la novedad y Ante Budimir, máximo realizador del equipo, esperará su oportunidad desde el banquillo.

Uno de los pocos alicientes para el Villarreal es que puede certificar que Alexander Sorloth sea el máximo goleador de la Liga, ya que a falta de esta última jornada lidera la tabla con dos tantos de ventaja sobre el delantero del Girona Artem Dovbyk.
Además, este puede ser un partido especial para algunos jugadores de peso del Villarreal, ya que hay un gran número de ellos que acaban contrato y su futuro no está del todo claro, como son los casos de Pepe Reina y Manu Trigueros, que podrían ser alineados como titulares.
El Villarreal sigue contando con las bajas de los habituales Juan Foyth, Denis Suárez y Yeremy Pino, a los que se sigue sumando el lateral Alfonso Pedraza; mientras que recupera a Femenía y Álex Baena, que volverán al once inicial, tras cumplir un partido de sanción la pasada jornada.
