    You have certainly got me interested but ... I have questions. First, does the ProGrip put my Insta360 Flow gimbal out of business. Second, can I use my iPhone13 Pro with the ProGrip ? Third does ProGrip do a cover for my iPhone13 Pro that takes all the lenses?

    The thing I'd like to see in reviews for lenses like this is a direct comparison of shots with and without the lens on. For the 60mm you only showed one shot and only with the lens attached, and this doesn't tell us much.
    You should focus on finding a scene with lots of detail in it, then taking a photo on a tripod with e.g. the 2x mode of the camera, and compare it to the 1x mode with lens attached. This would let us see if it's sharp or not, as well as any other effects. Also taking them at max resolution, which would be 48mp with the lens attached and 12 mp without, then zooming in all the way, would give a sense of the benefit the extra resolution brings, which could be amazing, or pointless if the lens isn't sharp enough to take advantage.

      @jerclarkedotorg Před 6 měsíci

      Here's a detailed review I created of the ShiftCam 60mm on iPhone 15 Pro that follows my own advice above. The results are devastating, this is not a sharp lens at all: czcams.com/video/0Djw2zxWouI/video.htmlsi=YY9vtNsJ8ZGuBM0d

    • @toNtheGamer
      @toNtheGamer Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@iPhoneGamer247I don’t think so, the red flares issue is too obvious to call the image usable.
      And other than that, the image still looks worse than taking by the ordinary iphone lens, honestly only the bokeh is true as described.

      @@iPhoneGamer247 I emailed them, but didn’t have reply for days. I am thinking of requesting a change to fisheye lens if they allow it. The lens were claimed to be future proof, since this series begins to be shipped at era of iphone 15 pro max, I believe it’s a fair request for change, no way a company should disappoint the crowd by killing their advertising promise at the time of new series debut. Would be disastrous to their marketing.

      @@smartphonefilmmakingpro Because i have try them all and i find the most practical and the best quality with the beastgrip pro and their lenses with filters from another company ( NiSi ) .
      It's the kit that is the most versatile , i mean the beastgrip pro can be used also only for grip or all of it for mount also the lenses , their lenses have a regular 58mm or 62mm ( the wide 18mm ) so you can mount any filter you want , they provide caps, and other goodys....
      Also the freewell kit is excellent in quality but it's working only with their product ( i mean their case , their grip , their lenses and their filters ) . It's ok but for me have some negative points like for example you cannot use a vnd filter to their lenses or a nd filter from another company , also they don't provide a lens cap to their lenses , also you have always to use the case that makes the phone ugly.....
      About the shiftcam for tell you the truth i haven't try their lenses but only the Progrip and the Snapgrip with some accessories but i didn't like them.
      Have try also stuff from neewer but nothing.
      If you can test the beastGrip products.
      I am not a beastgrip affiliate , i am not a youtube either , all the products have been paid for me ( some from amazon so i could send them fortunately back for refund ) .
      Sony user i have the zv-e1 but now with the ip15 pro/max and apple log i have try them almost everything because i really like and make sense now capture video with the smartphone.

      Based on lenses or cases/cages?

    • @jerclarkedotorg
      @jerclarkedotorg Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@tzitzos77 I feel this assessment syncs up with what I've seen. The Beastgrip lenses are expensive, enormous, and heavy, but they really do what they say it seems. The problem is the size. The Beastgrip Pro cage and the Beastcage are both over 300g just to be able to mount their lenses, then the 1.7 tele lens is itself 176g. By comparison the ShiftCam case is a normal plastic case, and their lens is under 110g.
      If I'm going out and MIGHT need the lens, do I want to bring 450g worth of Beastgrip gear that fills up my bag, or just put on a special case and a 100g lens in it's little case. On those terms, I feel I'll never actually bring the Beastgrip stuff with me. If I'm willing to carry a half-kilo of stuff, I could just bring my mirrorless camera for only a bit more weight.
      But then you look at the quality on Shiftcam and realize maybe it's just simple: These lenses are a waste of time unless you are going all-out for cinematic production. The bare iPhone is better than the Shiftcam so why waste your money? The Beastgrip offers new options without a loss of quality, but at the cost of convenience to the point where you might as well invest in a mirrorless camera for shooting anyway.
      It's a real bummer that the Shiftcam lenses don't live up to the original review kits when paired with the iPhone 14 Pro. It seemed like the 60mm was extremely sharp while delivering better bokeh and resolution than using the 2x/3x. Something went wrong though and now everyone using the production units with the iPhone 15 Pro are complaining it's basically worthless sharpness-wise, in addition to killing the new "turn on portrait after" feature and not working at all with the 15 Pro Max 5x lens.

    .The grip is fine. The lenses SUCK!!
    So irritated that I spent about $300 for images that are NOT sharp.
    There's a reddish lens flare on just about every photo taken with the 60mm lens.
    In addition, the 60mm does NOT work with Portrait mode.
