The crazy part of this song is that it was made and released well before George Floyd's death, yet the screams/lyrics of "I can't breathe...on our knees we pray...got my head on a guillotine, slipknot around my neck come and take a seat...dead on arrival" all completely echo everything about the situation and what the US and world are going through. Such a perfect song right now.
Yeah I heard this song for the first time right after mr Floyd's death. And I was like.....wow....literally speechless. And the visuals in the video. Visceral.
Its tragic what happened to Floyd, but that man was a criminal with a terrible history of offenses and violence. I will not make a criminal my martyr but I stand with all the innocent minorities out there. He was also high on meth and fentanyl and was threatening a store owner, so I personally do not feel for him, instead I feel for his family #AllLivesMatterNotJustBlack

I technically came across this song yesterday and I was blown away by watching it. I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped. This song definitely resounded with all that's going on. Dude IPrevail and Joyner Lucas nailed it all in the same coffin.
I just watched that yesterday and I had chills through and through. Keep in mind, this song was written and album released a while ago already, so that "I can't breathe" was complete fucking coincidence, but an absolutely powerful and fitting one. Joyner I think was a very necessary and fitting addition to this song, and they did it very well imo. The song itself is angry, aggressive, it makes you feel the pain and anguish. The video, makes you see the despair, the corruption, the sadness, and cruelty of our society. I think of their music video releases, I Prevail absolutely nailed 'Breaking Down' and 'DOA'. They are hugely relevant (not that the others aren't, mind you), powerful at getting the point across, and relatable in some way to some people. Say what you want about I Prevail, but they are facing subjects head on that make most people uncomfortable and I applaud them for it. Again, not to say other bands don't do as such.

Got me wanting to see other CZcamsr’s reactions to the video. This video is nothing less than breathtaking in its portrayal of events that are extremely applicable to our current social-political environment. Set that to the lyrics and you have a message that must be shared with all. The video says it as plain as it needs to be said. We are all in this together.

I'm gonna be honest they couldn't have released this at a better time with everything going on in the world. This is why I love I Prevail so much, they don't shy away from topics that need to be talked about and addressed.
