I won't lie, when I first started the series Nana O was my favorite and Hachi annoyed me. But seeing Hachi's growth in the manga made me love her. Now she's my favourite.
This video was incredible as always! ALso, i found that even multiple people who were so negative towards anime and refused to watch it got super into AOT once I swore by it and that it's truly the best gateway (I feel like the series instantly sets up such a mysterious air and you just have to keep watching to answer all these questions from early on). It's really funny, because now those people regularly watch a lot of anime lmao but I think that show is good for subverting people's expectations about it being shallow and filled with overused tropes. I also think it's pretty hard not to get into Death Note and JJK as well even if you are just starting.

For anime newbies would definitely recommend Black Butler and Death Note. I watched them in a time when i didn't know anything about anime and even kinda judged it but these completely changed my mind bc they're so good haha Along with Noragami, Tokyo Ghoul and ofc Attack on Titan depending on what genre you prefer💜
Can we talk about all the amazing characters in Tokyo Revengers that are skilled ( the s is silent)! All jokes aside like every time u get attached to someone they die and its so hard to pick a favorite. I went form Draken to mitsuya and now its chifuyu.

have you seen stein's gate?! it's 10/10 imo. the story kicks off right off the bat and the dialogue is so so so good. i think it could also be a good contender for someone getting into anime. it's got comedy, drama, romance, suspense, sci-fi, and legit has one of the BEST dubs i've ever heard in anime. like i'd actually recommend it in dub specifically
My heart bled for Shin when I read the manga, he is so young then he has his life messed up by the scandal which happened really because all the adults failed him so badly 😭 Shin is my fav so Hachi gets an edge over nana because she looks after my son the most lol. Mafuyu is a vibe though, I too am a space case with a small dog 😂

tbh in shojo a lot of the real good ones haven't gotten adapted. Last year we got koikimo when we could have gotten a lot of good ones. That being said in shojo age gap is legit 80% of the manga so it's hard finding good ones. To satisfy my romance shoujo cravings I've actually turned to manwha. There are so many good titles!!!
I love black clover so much T_T I think the characters are really lovable. I do understand why people can dislike... the animation can be really mad but regardless the manga is one my fave. I really like the mangaka drawing style. 💖
