If it’s prescribed by a doctor, you take the recommended dose under the supervision of a doctor. The risk of addiction is extremely low. Some people with mental issues do benefit from this medication, and it should not be demonized.
I was treating bipolar 2 and adhd for years with one doc. He retired. I have been to 5+ new docs who wont even touch adhd meds. I'm only allowed sedatives and mood stabilizers now. I've gained 80lbs because the adhd meds help with the bipolar med weight gain. Life sucks now. Cant keep a job or school class anymore

I am on 15 mg of Adderall XR and have had no problem with obtaining my prescription..I thought the outage was only for the non XR version.
Yes. I have to call the pharmacy prior to my doctor sending the prescription over to make sure they have it. XR didn't work as well for me. I only work in short 4 hour bursts and if I hadn't been under dosing my medication by 50-25% I would have been up poo creek. Luckily, I can under dose and have medication left over just in case its a few days before I can even find my medicine.
This situation is infuriating to me that this is why the people who are visiting doctors in person and legitimately have ADD (with a diagnosis) can't get their medicine for a legitimate condition.

I see a doctor 4 times a year in person. I take a drug test at every appointment.
I am actually angry that this is why we can't get our medicine. It only makes us look like we are part of the people abusing the medication. This needs to stop.
My husband hasn’t been able to consistently get his prescription for several months now. He usually has to go about a week without his medication every month due to the shortage.

It's normal to daydream ... If daydreaming is symptom of ADHD then teachers need noise makers . And loud claps .
@@FurthermoreJack There are different normal daydreaming and ADHD daydreaming is not the same. Plus you also need to have the other symptoms. One of my that I struggle a lot is the Hyperfocusing. Let’s say I need to do an errand but instead hyperfocus on learning how to take care of a horse and everything that involves it when I live in a city, even informations of costs EVERYTHING! And can spend hours studying it. People with ADHD cannot control this things lol

An ADHD medication has absolutely nothing to do with your son deciding to put a gun to his head and play a game. He should not have been using it to get high, sure. But that, my friend, is a user error.

I take 72 mg of Vyvanse for my adhd and have never had issues getting meds until now, when, you know, I have a job, bills to pay, need to get my own food, as opposed to when I was six and first diagnosed and my mother was able to do everything for me. This sort of thing could literally ruin my life. I do not have $300-$400 a month to pay for Vyvanse at pharmacies that may have it in stock but don't take my insurance. How dare these telehealth companies do this sort of thing. These companies and people are literally ruining lives.
Indian pharmacies do sell vyvanse bc it is not a controlled substance. You can find legit companies that also sell in their own countries but don’t have the same rules about Rx

Why? You'd deny LOTS of people their important medication regardless of their circumstance just because SOME idiots might be exploiting SOME companies? New flash, every single controlled substance that is prescribed gets prescribed to LOTS and LOTS of people who don't need it - and there is no way of actually eliminating that without harm to those who actually have those health/mental health issues.

I legitimately have ADHD. Diagnosed, prescribed adderall. But I’d be lying if I told you anyone “needs” to be on adderall. It’s legal meth lmao. It’s helps make you somewhat more productive, but it doesn’t really help with attention or memory. It makes you somewhat “amped” because… it’s legal meth 😂.
