When Brianna Stewart was at UConn winning 4 National Championships in 4 seasons, she was NOT able to sell out games on the road and sometimes at home. There was no Breanna-mania where fans would go above and beyond to travel hundreds or thousands of miles and spend a lot of money on game tickets, food, hotel rooms and merch to see her play.

Most of us didn't even know who this girl was until LSU beat them in the championship game over a year ago and then flaunted their win in her face. So the teams that traveled by bus only had a 4 hour drive. Had the fever traveled by bus it would have taken them 12 hrs to get to their game. Had the Lynx traveled by bus it would have taken them 22 hrs. It's not favoritism it's common sense.

This for some reason reminds me of the movie Major League where the Cleveland Indians had to fly the old airplane or bus to get to games. Evidently it had no bad effect on the team that flew commercial. It probably gave them a chip on their shoulder and improved their intensity. I do believe that Caitlin Clark has done a great service for the WNBA. I've been watching the games she's involved in. She's brought a focus that lifts all of her team mates and opponents as well. It's good for the sport. A rising tide lifts all boats.

While the boost in ratings is obviously a good thing for a league thatâs suffered, itâs unfortunate that a large part of that is due to a Stan base that reinforce some of the worst stereotypes of fandom. Sheâs a ball player; excellent at what she did on the college level, not a protected class exempt from the reality of what star rookies go through. Sheâll get it, and when she does, itâll be because sheâs earned it on the pro level, not because it was given to her.
She was n't excellent in college, she was the best. She was the best shooter in ncaa history outshooting everybody in men and womens basketball. She was also the 6th best in assist in wncaa. She knows all you've said, just give her the chance to do so. All the naysayers just gave her one game.

Iâm a huge CC fan and wouldnât be watching anything WNBA but I %100 believe they should have waited until all teams could fly as a league. Ultimately every team deserves this and flights should be just that.

This could be because of the league starting to book flights at date so close to the season starting. Some bookings might not have been made because of airline constraints.
