Gunrunner could have been the back half of the jet, like those micromaster combiner vehicles. They should make an update of this though.

If gunrunner had a modern toy, would he just turn into the car shell or would he be a triple changer?

He's really not that great but we love him. As Ray (Ilovemess) used to say: "It's G1, so we forgive it." I do wish his vehicle shell did a little bit more like Roadgrabber's does.
