  • Simple and Pretty Onesies using a "wet on wet" technique!
This video is in "real time" :)
To begin, outline and fill cookie using flood consistency royal icing.
Immediately pipe circles for the flowers (I used 3 variations of blush pink/pink)
Using your scribe tool, drag circular motions around the circles
Pipe dots and drag out leaves (I used Moss Green by Wilton for the leaf colour)
Allow cookie to completely dry before adding details
Using your royal icing as glue, attach a rose swirl
    Pipe Leaves
Use Medium Consistency royal icing for the details and silver dragees for the snaps
    And that's it!

Thank you for posting a real time video. So many are time lapsed....it's hard to tell how long it takes. Or makes me feel like a goober because I can't do them quickly.

Yes it’s “real time”. I debated speeding it up because some may get bored with the duration. But this is a good indicator on how quick a cookie can be done and still be pretty ❣️

Emma, you’ve inspired me to improve my skills enough to make these cookies for my DIL’s upcoming shower. So pretty! I’m wondering… are you using the same bag for piping as flooding? I can’t tell if you’ve switched to a bag with a larger cut opening for flooding? Or are you just applying a lot more pressure? Thanks so much.

How does the icing not drip off the edges?
