  • This is the Ayamaya 4 to 6 person tent with spacious vestibule. The tent is contained in a circular bag. The poles are all sewn into the tent so that all you have to do to set up is toss it out and the tent springs into shape. This is a two layer tent so you dont have to worry about condensation. The vestibule is large and allows you to zip out bugs while keeping your things out of the main body of the tent.

We watched this several times to figure out how to fold up the tent. Thanks for the demo! It was super helpful!

I got my 4 -6 person tent 2 weeks ago. There are improvements to the window. Bo centre hook to hold a lantern but the roof is now a vent area for more ventilation andnit comes with a removable rain flap. I watched the ayamaya channel to lear how to fold the tent; i was a hopeless case following the directions on the bag and on the instruction sheet; then i had absolutely no clue how to set up the poles for the door flap until I watched this video; saved my sanity. I just want to know how to set up the ropes so they can easily tighten. Oh, this is my 1st tent. I added a waterproofing spray for added protection

Very cool, much like the hoop type windshield shades for the car/truck. Sagging sides are likely to cup water in the rain.
I agree, the 2 cinch straps on the bag are likely shoulder straps for carrying from the car or used as tie-down straps to secure it on the outside of pack/rack.

I also wonder how those loose sides will do in rain. The other ayamaya tent did really well in the rain.

That tent is the most confusing one I’ve ever seen! Don’t think it was designed by people who knew what a tent really needs. :) Still a cool video to see and will be helpful for any prospective customers looking to learn more about it before purchasing. 👍

It is shaped oddly for sure. My mom has a kids pop up tent like this. Fast to setup. The kids and I will try it out for real soon.

Leave tent zippers open a little , to release air as you fold it up.

Looks like a little Cala pillar, that’s what I was thinking when I saw this on a different video
Also thank you because my dog broke my tent this one is super spacious and he’s a pretty big dog And hates tight spaces and I have a pretty small tent currently, but when I get this one he’ll be able to run around

Only window covers need zippers, no need for zippers on screens unless it is to be used as a hunting blind. Also the “ front porch cover” is angled so it will direct rain water toward the tent?
It uses some traditional poles and lines, which I think most pop-up consumers are trying to avoid. Vestibule floor is going to get trampled. So I would say poorly thought out, but it gets tons of cool points! Thanks for showing us!

What do you mean by the floor part getting trampled?

I would love to hear a follow up review of this tent once you've had it out on a trip to see how it works in a "live" environment.

That makes a lot of sense! Because they don't do much otherwise. Thanks!

I'm looking into this tent to pitch inside my house in Canada if/when the power grid goes down in the winter. (People won't last for very long at -40.) I'm worried about a cyber attack this winter (2021).
I like the vestibule. I could use that as an airlock to keep the heat in.
How stable would this tent be indoors without the pegs and ropes? I might be able to tie the ropes to something, but definitely no pegs. :)
Would it be sturdy enough to throw a blanket over to add some insulation, or would that collapse the tent? What about a mylar blanket?

    • @ToolsTechAndGear
      @ToolsTechAndGear  Před 2 lety +1

This tent does need something on the corners to keep the tent down. Otherwise the blankets on top would fold it down. Check out the other tent review on my channel. It is a multi pole tent and is much stronger.

What are the interior floor dimensions of the tent, not including the vestibule?

Are those tie downs not ment to carry it as a bag pack?

I took this to the park to let my kids play and the friends I was with laughed because I threw it and it didn't open. Take 2 redeemed but it was still funny.

Rewatch the video or the 2 breakdown videos on ayamaya's channel. I got mine 2 weeks ago and struggled to break it down until just now 😂

I have this tent it’s not the best tent and not roomy either, the only thing is good is easy to pop up and take down light weight most of all…
