    I’m brand new with this finish. I’m so excited but nervous. Thanks for teaching this.

    Can you clear coat after the cracked gesso?

    I’ve tried every milk paint on the market. I can say with certainty that Amy’s MP is unlike any other on the market. Once I tried it I understood what she was talking about when she mentions where the pigments are sourced from. Love this paint!

    I want white to be the predominant color on top. can I put cracked gesso on top of a Tuscana milk paint? or does the cracked gesso have to be placed down first before the Toscana milk paint?

    Another wonderful video- thank you! BTW you are saying “gesso” correctly! It actually means chalk in Italian.

    Does the Cracked Gesso adhere to a shellac finish?

    • @amyhowardathome
      @amyhowardathome  Před 2 lety

      The best application of the Cracked Gesso will be on top of raw wood, One Step paint, or Gel Stain depending on the layers you're planning on using.

    can I leave it at the gesso stage and just lacquer?

    • @amyhowardathome
      @amyhowardathome  Před 2 lety

      You will not want to use Cracked Gesso underneath lacquer. It is best to finish with Milk Paint, but you may antique it with antiquing glaze, wax, Dust of Ages, etc., so there are many different options!
