In December 1997, The Financial Times ran an article entitled “The Death of Gold.” Since then, the gold price in US dollars has increased 519% from $288 to $1,780. Today, after many political events and crises we have evidence of the continuous and in many ways spectacular growth of the gold price. This confluence of many current events is creating a perfect storm for gold to increase dramatically more than we imagined.

That's a slightly odd way to phrase the situation; trading gold is a perfectly valid form of trade, it doesn't so much confuse the picture as impact upon it. While the question is raised, it's not answered, we don't know whether Brexit will or won't affect this market.

Clearly Sky News know nothing about economics or international trade.
    1. The gold came in from USA which technically counts as an import, it's the difference between import value and export value which is recorded as the export value.
    2. Claiming a hypothetical "if the UK didn't export gold..." they do so argument over.
    3. How is the UK supposed to export to the rest of the world when they're currently inside the common EU market, ie the rest of world pay higher prices than they would if they had deals with the UK.
    4. How about we consider decline of British industries since the UK joined the single market, ie free access for firms to outsource in the EU and then wonder why our domestic production and hence exports have fallen, instead of blaming it, yet again, on brexit
Again the British media cooking the books in terms of Brexit and only talk about one side of the argument

Sky's theory as to how trade works is pure economic fallacy

While in the EU there plan was to break up the UK into separate countries, Scotland, England, Wales and also integrate Northern Irland as part of the Irland Republic. The UK looked at Switzerland who are not members of the EU, but trades with the EU. Switzerland Imports and exports is 5 times larger than the UK, with only a fraction of the population and they are not even members of the EU. The UK has to pay the EU, 20 Billion pound a year for the privilege of being able to trade with the EU's single market. While in the EU, Great Britain would no longer exist, and will just become a province of the old Roman Empire ( The Treaty of Rome. ) or the 1000 year Forth Reich. Hitler tried to establish the 1000 yearThird Reich, which originated from the Roman Empire. This is because the Roman Empire has been around for thousands of years. But this should be all put in the past now.

UK is a service hub and London benefits greatly as a service centre for the EUROPEAN UNION in particular and BREXIT wants to jettison that priceless status.

Unfortunately most of the people voting/the public where poorly informed.
Not dumb people as I know doctors that voted leave but politically uniformed and not fully aware of it.

Saying that most people who voted out were poorly informed is a standard remainer complaint and is untrue. British people voted for their own sovereignty which had been given away to Europe time and again with out a vote. The European economy is dying and wave after wave of mass third world immigration is destroying the place. Britain does not want to be part of that. On the economic side the world market is vastly larger than the EU and Britain has centuries of experience trading with the whole world.

Thats why Brits already trained up ( not ) the thousand customs officers needed after Brexit to just keep the trucks handled coming to Dover every day.... I see the centuries of experience in trading already in full swing. Maybe it`s time to ask around the world if some 3rd world countries are willing to get colonized ( robed ) again by Brits ?
