Appreciate your transparency when discussing the mistakes that were made. Not enough people take the time to do that, and we all make some doofus mistakes sometimes.

Just found your channel - fantastic! Did you have to anchor the bin to the wall to keep it from tipping if the trash contents are heavy? Or isn't that a problem with a double bin?

Surprisingly, tipping is a non issue with this design. The factors might be, the limit on the opening, the depth of the unit, an the overall weight of the unit compared to the general lightness of kitchen trash and recycle. Thanks so much for checking out the channel!

@@wooddoofus I was dopey enough to spend the fortune on a single can tilt-out from Amazon, but I didn't take falling over into consideration. Sort of wondering if adding baseboard around 3 sides will help or if I'm going to have to anchor it to the wall.

@@ctdev2003 oh I see. If tipping is an issue, I don't think baseboard will add much stability. Anchoring to a stud might be your best bet. Maybe screwing to your wall baseboards? You might have to cut out any show molding if you have any of that.
